Our guide Roberto was excellent and dealt well with a full coach of English and Spanish speaking persons. He gave useful information at each stage. Some stops felt a little short and I felt we had to cut short our visit to make sure we made the train stops. However the long stop where we could choose somewhere to get lunch was the best. The area is outstandingly beautiful but very busy even in October. Not for those with mobility challenges. Considering it was a full 12 hour day, it was disappointing we were not allowed to eat or drink anything but water on the coach. We had brought breakfast to eat on the coach so this information might have been useful beforehand, as we had stood at the bus stop for 30 minutes before the coach came, when we could have eaten our breakfast there. Also the coach had a toilet which we were not allowed to use!! I know it's probably because people are messy but we paid alot for this trip, which I'm sure would have covered a toilet cleaner.

Emma was effective as a tour leader and the driver was skillful. It would be better to have an indoor bus terminal with toilets while waiting to board the tour bus. We were all waiting in the cold before the tour. With road trips more than an hour and a half, bathroom breaks should be planned. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable day at Cinque Terre.

I have dreamed of visiting this beautiful area ever since I saw photos my son and daughter-in-law took a few years back. They handled all of the details themselves. In retrospect, they felt the scheduling and planning was stressful and would have been too much for us, now age 73 & 74. We are on the way back to Florence. Our12 hour day trip was a breeze with our amazing tour guide, Roberto. From the minute we arrived at the meeting point, we were knew we were in great hands. Roberto gave insider tips, historic background, and he had a whiteboard he used to write out meeting points that many of us photographed as reminders as we wentvoff on our own. There was ample time to explore, savor new tastes and sights, shop, and get to the trains between the Cinque Terre regions we visited. The luxury bus from and back to Florence was very comfortable and on the bus ride we had a great feel for different areas in Tuscany. It is a little more than 2 hours to Cinque Terre from Florence, but along the way, Roberto pointed out various sights including the Carrera marble quarry in the mountains. Stunning! Cosantino handled the driving. As we got closer to Cinque Terre, Cosantino's driving expertise was very much appreciated. Bikers, hikers, cars and winding roads. We would have been absolutely exhausted if we rented a car. Instead, after fine dining and a phone full of photos and memories, we enjoyed watching the sun set as we headed back to Florence. Roberto herded our large group through the trains and boat between the cities of Cinque Terra with ease. If there was a higher rating than 5 stars, Roberto & Cosantino (our driver) would have gotten it! Very grateful that we were on this trip.

Roberto did a fantastic job. The cities were everything you could hope for and more, but Roberto did an amazing job keeping such a large group together and on time between trains. No one missed a ride. Costantino did excellent driving us up and back down from the mountains safely.

Awesome day trip from Florence! Our guide Alex was wonderful. There’s a lot packed into the day, but it’s easily done and worthwhile if you don’t have the time to stay in Cinque Terre. Highly recommend

Lorenza and Gabriele were amazing on our tour to Cinque Terre. We were allowed ample free time and got to explore 4 towns. They took special care to make sure my husband, who had injured himself prior to our honeymoon, was able to walk and made suggestions on alternative routes to take. My personal favourite was Vernazza town. Thanks so much!

The Scent of the Sea tour at Cinque Terra via Ciao Florence tours was beyond our expectations! Gabriele and Lorenzo were amazing guides and Mario was an exquisite driver. The call time is early at 7 am on the dot —recommend to either pick up some groceries for your hotel, etc to eat on the way there or stop at the little food truck next to the pick up location (just make sure you are early). We were able to sleep on the bus and take in the beauty of Tuscany on our way to the Liguria region. Upon arrival, the tour guide gave very clear directions and communicated how long we had in each region and where to meet. He also gave recommendations of his favorite things in each region which was very helpful to manage our time. The beauty of Cinque Terre national park is unmatched and my husband and I both agree that we would come back to spend a day in each city now that we know what each one has to offer. We booked this as a honeymoon excursion and loved every minute (just did this today on 10/17). A wonderful way to spend the day. We did the English tour with lunch provided — lunch was okay (pesto pasta was amazing) but getting to sit with people on the tour and learn about them is what made it even better! Make sure to bring comfortable walking shoes (lots of hills and stairs), sunscreen, and water. You won’t regret this trip, the tour guides, the tour itself, and the experience are a 10/10!!!
