David RIzzio was a fantastic guide taking us throughout the old town of Edinburgh. He make the experience one to remember with his ability to make you laugh and then the next breath freak you out again. 10/10 for the experience would recommend to anyone who wants to see the dark side of Edinburgh.

The whole experience was brilliant from start to finish! John Kincaid (our tour guide) was very good, he was very charismatic and his knowledge of the murky goings on in and around Edinburgh was second to none. The stand out part was the underground tunnels, very eerie indeed!

We enjoyed our tour very much! Our guide was friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the history of the underground (though I expect there was a bit of embellishment!). We also enjoyed "exploring" the Greyfriars Kirkyard in the dark, and it made me want to explore more during the day. Unfortunately, my husband got distracted by a tomb and we lost the group near the end. Worked out as it was cold so we popped into Greyfriars Bobby's Bar for a pint and some food to warm up. Maybe more 3.5 but I'll round up. Our guide was great, but it was a bit of a big group, so at times hard to hear her and walking along the busy streets with that many people was a little cumbersome. I think scaling back on the group size would have enhanced the experience.
