Prado Museum: VIP Skip-Line Small Group Masterpiece Tour

There are more than one thousand paintings inside (no, we didn't make a mistake, that's the truth), so we can't explore it all, nevertheless, we provide the base for you to go on your own after the visit. That's why we like to describe this as a didactic tour. However, if you're an Art Pro, we've got good news: since we're going to be only 7 people, you can choose what to see and make requests, and that's why we like to describe this as a flexible tour. We really enjoyed our guided tour of the Prado Museum with Paula. She communicated to me several days before where to meet and how to identify her. Entrance to the museum was smooth (she had our tickets) and she was very informative about the different pieces of art. She was very excited when she saw that a section of the museum was open that day as it was closed off previously. Her knowledge really helped us appreciate the different works, identify subtle messages and painting styles and techniques. You could tell she just how much she loved the museum and talking about it. We spent a lot of time on Bosch's painting (Garden of Earthly delights) and we ended up buying a print on canvas at the bookstore. Tip: if you want to buy a reprint (either on paper or canvas) do it first and then you can browse the shop as it takes 15 min to print. The kiosk is located near the cafeteria where you can scroll through the different masterpieces and select the size of the print. Paula also gave us a restaurant recommendation in Granada, as we were going to visit that city after Madrid. It ended up being one of the best meals there. We highly recommend this guided tour!

Natalia was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the art and history of the works in the Prado! I highly recommend this tour!!

Balan our guide was passionate and enthusiastic about the paintings she showed us. She also took us for a walk through Retiro park with explainations

Belen was a wonderful guide! Very informative tour. I liked that we focused on a few key pieces of art and learned a lot about them rather than trying to see ALL the art on the museum. Was worth paying for the small group and could ask questions

Great visit to the Prado. First time visit for us. Macarena was a great tour guide and art historian. Highly recommended.
