Tortuga Island Paradise: VIP Day Trip & Lunch from San José

Good experience. Breakfast stop was nice. Lunch and coffee with cookies were tasty. Snorkeling was very convenient and easy. Time at the beach could have been little lesser (at least by an hour). Overall good experience. Guide Memo was very helpful.

Wonderful day from San Jose to the island. Great and knowledgeable tour guide Percy and everyone on the island was so nice. Great lunch and plenty of beautiful wild animals to see. Highly recommended. Thanks so much to all had a great time!

Very fun experience! We did so much and the tour guide was very friendly and caring about my group. I highly recommend to whoever is interested. The only negative I could give was that we got picked up late, but that was due to unexpected traffic that they never faced before.

We really felt like we got our money's worth out of this experience. The staff were all great, the boat ride to the island was scenic, and the island itself was gorgeous. We saw some fun wildlife both at the boat dock on the mainland and on the island. It might be more crowded during the high season but it wasn't too much so when we were there in late November. They were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions with the included lunch, which I appreciated. There are just two caveats I would recommend anyone know before booking. First, the tour starts EARLY - for the two pickup spots offered for our tour, the pickup times were 4:30am and 5am. You can catch up on sleep on the bus ride to the coast though if you're able to sleep on buses. Second caveat, there are a bunch of pickup and drop-off spots listed on the tour page, but they may not all be available on a given day. We had requested the pickup spot they had listed that was right by our hotel, which they initially said was great, but the night before they let us know they wouldn't actually be able to pick us up there and we had to go to a hotel that was a 15 minute drive away to be picked up. So just know that you may need to arrange transportation (and it may be last-minute) to a pickup spot that's a bit of a drive away. I would make sure anyone I told about this tour was aware of those two factors, but given that I would still recommend the tour to anyone. We had a great time.

Tortunga Island – Beautiful Experience with a Few Surprises My visit to Tortunga Island was overall pretty good—the views were beautiful and the vibe was relaxing. However, there were a few things that didn’t quite match the pictures or expectations. First, the water didn’t look like the photos advertised, which was disappointing. They also charge $1 every time you use the bathroom, which felt unnecessary and a bit inconvenient. On top of that, the $4 Wi-Fi really wasn’t worth it since the connection was weak. Another unexpected moment was transportation. They mentioned dropping me off somewhere different from where they picked me up, which was confusing. Thankfully, they did end up taking me back to the original pickup spot, but it made me wonder why the sudden change in plans. Overall, I enjoyed the island, but I think future visitors should be aware of these small surprises so they can plan accordingly.

Excellent. Organized well and allowed us to combine both cultural and adventure activities in our trip to San Jose. Bus ride was very comfortable, the boat ride was a blast and the beach was beautiful! Would recommend this to other families looking for an island adventure! Breakfast isn’t provided but we made a nice stop at a Sopa that had decent options for a breakfast. Lunch was great and I would recommend taking snacks with you for the evening ride home.

The actual activity was great but they refused to drop us off back at the meeting point stating they couldn't detour that way they left us at airport causing uber to take 30 minutes to pick us up
