Puerto Plata: Unforgettable Snorkel & Sosua Beach Escape!

The process was safe, relaxed, and enjoyable! The whole team did a great job. Had fun snorkeling, jumping off the boat into the water, and great time on the beach!

We had the most amazing experience. Richard and his team went out if their way to make our day special. My 55 year old niece had never snorkeled before and our guide was super patient, calm and tender to help her experience the underwater world. We cut our snorkeling short in lieu of being able to set up a massage ( 5 stars as well). So besides snorkeling we had time to shop in Sosua Bay, massage and had another stop over at Cofresi Beach. We were back at port by 3 pm and still had time to experience the Amber Cove Pool (Tour duration was about 6 hours). We were obviously a small group but I would also recommend him for private tour)

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Lots of personalized communication & coordinating leading up to this visit. Richard picked us up from the port & drove us the 45mins to the beach location. He was very friendly, kind and SO accomodating! We geared up & walked right to the beach just steps away where we hopped in the boat with Alex our guide & journeyed to 2 snorkle spots. The snorkle gear was top of the line, the best & most comfortable flippers & masks we have used! We enjoyed the fish & coral views in the water & along the beautiful coastline. He even brought a GoPro camera & took photos of our experience that were sent to us right after! Everything went smoothly thanks to Lotta, Richard & Alex! Definitely a more local (not too touristy) experience. We highly recommend & would do it again! Excellent value, hospitality & customer service.

Richard was a great driver to and from the ship. He made sure our experience was fun and relaxing. His crew that took us out was great. We made it back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. They take a go pro and send the pics afterwards for free.

The staff was incredibly friendly and did all they could to accommodate everyone in the party. The first stop had all kinds of fish and was very worthwhile. I didn't see as many on the second stop. The pictures taken and provided free of charge were a wonderful bonus! I would say that if small boats make you nervous, you need to be aware that this is that type of situation. It is not a catamaran where you can move around. It is a small boat and fully loaded with passengers.

The excursion was great. The boat crew was the best. They made sure everyone was well taken care of while ensuring we had a great time. The views were wonderful.

Richard and Lotte were super accommodating to work around our schedule. Super helpful and great communication before the tour. Richard’s stories were fascinating. The recent storms have covered a lot of the corals, but there was a lot of fish still.

Excellent tour operator. Very professional, punctual, and reliable. Boat crew for the snorkeling day were top notch. Highly recommended!

Snorkeling was ok. Boat was very small and difficult to get in and out of. Guides did not introduce themselves. Would not recommend this excursion for first time snorkelers.

I had a snorkeling tour booked for January. Lotta, at Eric tours, was very helpful. I was traveling solo and she helped me book the excursion as a solo person (the TA website required a minimum of two travelers and I will not pay double just because I am going alone). Their communication was wonderful. Lotta texted me full instructions before the tour date for how to find the meeting place. Unfortunately, the waves were too rough and the tour was canceled. She texted and offered alternatives tours for me to consider. I would use this operator again in a hearbeat.
