It says skip the line but you still have go and exchange your voucher for a ticket which takes a great deal of confusion - and 30+ minutes.

My experience at the Sugarloaf Mountain Cable Car was absolutely amazing. Everything is well-organized — clean facilities, friendly staff, and breathtaking views of Rio de Janeiro. From the first stop you can already enjoy stunning views of the city, Copacabana Beach, and the Christ the Redeemer statue in the distance. The ride to the top is smooth and feels very safe, and once you reach the summit, the panoramic view is simply unforgettable especially at sunset. Overall, it’s a must-visit attraction in Rio

This was a worthwhile experience that we did in the late afternoon when it wasn't as crowded. The views are spectacular and the ride on the cable car is enjoyable although it is standing only and can become crowded in the cable car.

Smooth and seamless process. We actually got there about 2 hours earlier than our scheduled time, and we were able to exchange tickets instead of waiting around.

I was so disappointed by the experience of going up Sugarloaf mountain. I went up about 30 years ago when I was last in Rio, and I knew it would have changed, but nothing prepared me for the relentless queuing at every point , the crowds, the poor organization ( they let far too many people on for each time slot ), and the in your face commercialism . There’s lots of shops and fast food outlets, but that’s not what we went for. We went at 4pm hoping to catch sunset at about 6. But we were stuck in a queue half way up with no view and missed the sunset altogether. We debated giving up at that point but felt we’d paid £100 for a family of 4 and had got so far that it must be with persevering. It was dark, cold and immersed in cloud when we finally got up. We decided to head straight down but found we had another hour long queue just to get back to the midway point. We realize the weather is unpredictable but the company is greedy and lets far too many people up at any one time for it to be a vaguely enjoyable experience ( we asked a staff member and they said the crowds were pretty typical for any weekend). I know it’s people like me wanting the experience who have spoilt it, but I still think it could be so much better managed. In the first queue we had our photo taken beside a cardboard cutout of sugarloaf, which we could buy on our way out. It was almost as though they predicted we wouldn’t get a good view, and so offered this fake extra an alternative. We’d been to Christ the Redeemer earlier the same day and whilst it was busy it was so much a better and more authentic experience . We came away from “ the Sugarloaf Experience “ feeling that not only had we wasted out money but that we’d also wasted several hours of the 2 days we had in Rio. My advise is don’t feel compelled to do this as a “ must do” especially if you’re going on a weekend ( we were a Friday night), Sugarloaf remains beautiful, but sadly this experience was not, and it was the low point of our trip around South America.

Very well organised attraction and helpful staff, some of them spoke decent English as well. It's going to be busy, just accept that. Especially at sunset time. So try to go late afternoon and not close to sunset. Spend some time at the first stop and take lots of photos of the Sugar Loaf. Plenty of food and drinks outlets too. We were there in the off season so there was hardly any waiting for the cable car. The upper viewing platform starts getting busy from 1630 onwards and really gets packed around sunset time. Get a decent camera. The night photos were spectacular with Christ the Redeemer lit up and the Botafago marina looking fab. My daughter lost the wristband but we could retrieve the QR code from the email sent to me. The wait for Uber on the way home was about 5 minutes but it can be longer in peak season. I felt very safe within the boundaries. Absolutely unmissable.

it was exhilarating. there are 2 stages of transport. both involving cable cars. the 1st stage or the 1st hill is where the restaurants are located. the 2nd stage is the highest and has the best views of the bay.

Beautiful scenery. Good food and shopping options at Urca. The cable car ride is amazing. I could view the entire Rio

Up to date comfortable cable cars. Amazing 360 views of all of Rio. Plenty of cafes and shops on top. Nice viewing areas. Clean bathrooms. I had no waiting time and 1/2 price for Seniors $18. Do not waste money on overpriced guided tours or priority tickets. Ubers are very cheap and much faster than tour busses with large groups.
