St. Thomas Sunset Sail: Snorkel, Pizza & Unforgettable Views

Join us aboard Reef Surfari for the Do It All Trip where we head to 2 snorkel stops, eat fresh baked pizza and enjoy an open bar sunset dance party all in one trip. From October to March, Reef Surfari departs at 1:30 from the dock at American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook on St Thomas and swings over to Cruz Bay to pick up our St John guests at 2:00. From April to September, we depart St Thomas at 2:00 and St John at 2:30. We go to two snorkel locations in the Virgin Islands National Park around St John to look for turtles, beautiful coral and tropical fish. After snorkeling, we open up the bar and pick up the pizza, included in the trip price, at Pizza PI in Christmas Cove of Great St. James. The bar will be open with rum punch, painkillers, sodas and water while we cruise around St. Thomas and St. John, crank up the jams and have a sunset dance party. We return to St John between 6:30-7:00 and head back to St Thomas between 7:00-7:30 depending on the time of sunset throughout the year.

We’ve done this charter three times. Every time we’ve hit different snorkel spots. We really enjoy this trip because it packs so much into it. Two snorkel spots, an open bar, pizza, and a beautiful sunset. On this trip, our Captain, CJ, our Snorkelologist, John, and our bar tender, Sydney, went above and beyond to make the trip enjoyable. John even swam with us to point out interesting sea life. He also took people’s cameras down to get close up pictures of interesting sea creatures. We will do this tour again the next time we visit. One warning, the boat holds about 40 people. We’ve been on it when it was full. It didn’t seem crowded as it’s a large boat. If you don’t want to swim with a group this large OS has other options. You won’t find a better value anywhere else on the island.

This snorkeling excursion was excellent. The crew, BK, John, Sydney (and Braxton) were amazingly fun. The team was knowledgeable about St. Thomas, fun and just a great group of people. We thoroughly enjoyed our time snorkeling and meeting new people.

What a great trip. Top notch crew of Andy and Sydney made it so much fun. Snorkel spots held a variety if sea life. We were able to see an octopus, sea turtles, rays and so many colorful and unique fish. Highly recommend this excursion.

Loved it Sydney was amazing on the drinks John was fun nd our captain bk drove the boat effectively the pizza was delicious

Captain and his first mate was fabulous. If you come to the islands then this is a must to do !!! We came to the islands for a sibling trip and this was a great way to end the vacation

We did this on the last day of our trip, it was a great way to end the week. We had an awesome time, with an awesome crew. CJ and Sydney were great. Worth every penny highly recommend it.

This was an absolute blast! We also saw some incredible views and the sunset was breathtaking. Captain Andy was awesome at telling us little facts and stories about the different places we went to and things we saw. Boat hand/Bartender John was a hoot and made some dangerous painkillers 🤣 10/10
