Exclusive Jiufen, Yehliu, Shifen: Taipei Small-Group Tour

We had the most incredible day exploring Taiwan with our tour guide, Oliver. He took us to Jiufen, Shifen Waterfall, the Golden Waterfall, the Yehliu Geopark, and even made a special stop for us to light a lantern and make wishes—plus several other thoughtful stops along the way. His timing was *perfect*; we always arrived just before the big bus tours, which made every experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Oliver was not only knowledgeable—sharing fascinating history and stories about Taiwan—but also genuinely personable and so easy to chat with. By the end of the tour, it felt like we had made a new friend. I can’t recommend this tour enough. Skip the crowded big bus options and book this tour instead. You’ll get a much more intimate, meaningful, and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Mr. Martin Yang did a wonderful job taking my party of four around. He has great sense of humor. The world is small, we met a couple who joined us on the tour. They are from CA. We had great chat.

To be clear, this is not a tour, it’s a shared taxi ride and they drop you at locations and you will navigate your self. Our driver didn’t speak good English.

This is a great trip! It included more activities than expected! We visited the Geopark (absolutely stunning!) early to avoid the crowds, then made a wonderful little hike in the mountains in a beautiful surrounding (our guide even packed walking sticks for us!), went to the Shifen waterfall, got invited to a bubble tea by our perfect guide Martin, went to the sky lantern place, had a really good lunch in a food court, saw the golden waterfall and ended up in Jiufen (what we personally didn’t like so much as it was overcrowded, but Martin found a secret escape way for us!). We had the best driver and tour guide ever! Martin picked us up at the hotel and then a second couple as well. His car is very comfortable and clean and brand new. He provided water for us and even had some Chinese medicine for the throat of my husband! He was driving smoothly and always found a parking space nearby. Additionally we had perfect weather, sunshine all day. I highly recommend to do this tour with Martin!

The trip is well run. Our driver Kenny was polite, friendly and experienced. We are so glad that we booked this trip! It would be a lot more work if we were to take public transportation.
