Annalise was a nice, informative guide. She shared some terrific Galway locations with delicious food and treats. The tour was informative.

The Kilkenny Food Tour was one of the greatest highlights of our Ireland vacation! It was a small group and Angie our tour guide was simply AMAZING! We ate, drank, heard fun/historical facts, met/shopped with the locals, and absorbed all Kilkenny's culture we could in a fun afternoon! Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my food tour in Galway, and especially the guide. Danny was so knowledgeable and happy to answer any question. The length of the tour was perfect and we certainly got enough food! All the food was excellent. I had such a good time. Highly recommended.

Although the weather was cold, windy and rainy, the food tour was awesome, and Sorcha was the perfect guide! Her humor and honesty really made the tour.

We really enjoyed the Galway Food Tour despite the weather. Remnants of a couple Atlantic hurricanes brought in heavy rain the morning of our tour but we grabbed our rain gear and umbrellas and are glad we didn't cancel as that had crossed our minds! The rain actually created a bit of camaraderie with our group of nine. Serika did a great job of keeping the tour moving and offered a nice balance of Galway history, personal anecdotes and information about the Galway food scene. We had samples of coffee, truffles, a raspberry croissant, cheeses, ham, salami, turnip and smoked mackerel sushi, Dingle whisky, pointin (moonshine), apple Irish brandy, oysters, mussels, lamb stew, brown bread, IPA beer, fish stew, wine and ice cream. We were very impressed with the amount of food and drink we received and it was fun to pop in and out of the various places Serika introduced us to. In addition to really enjoying the tour, it was fun chatting with other travelers as we gathered around cozy tables in charming spots we visited. All in all, a big hit with us.

This was a great food tour! Anita was wonderful and provided a great deal of history about the town, establishments, etc. This tour was a great value and we appreciated the variety of food experiences of coffee, pastry, chocolate, chowder, stew, cheese, meats, sushi, whiskey, and of course, ice cream! Had a wonderful time with family and met other nice folks in our group!

We had high hopes for this food tour, especially since it cost $180 for the both of us. We have taken many of these type tours so we (in our 60’s), are well-traveled and pretty knowledgeable about them. The first stop was literally a tiny bit of terrible coffee for each of us as it was explained there are no coffee roasters in Ireland). A lady from Florida in the group after tasting it refused to drink it. Oh boy. The second stop was not food but a raspberry croissant. Then we were taken upstairs for tasting of whiskey and Irish moonshine or poitin. The Company served on a tray which the guide passed around, literally minuscule pieces of cheese and ham. When I say minuscule, I mean tiny tiny. Then we went to a pub for small goat cheese balls (the best thing they offered to us) and tiny piece of meat. Then we went to another place for literally something on crackers, which when before we were served, I was excited because the leader said catered by the restaurant Kai. Then a piece of cake. Also “nothing with nothing.” As an aside, normally, these groups, spending 2 hours together, becomes somewhat cohesive or friendly, this did not happen. The leader, whose name I cannot remember, and the tour was a couple of days ago, did not encourage any interaction and there was none. I did absolutely see people not enjoying and complaining. Moreover, there was no history or cultural commentary by the tour guide as we walked the streets of Galway. Put simply, disappointing tour and, when one has limited time in a place, there’s no time to waste.

This review is for the Kilkenny Food Tour, which is managed by the team that does the Galway Food Tours. Our experience was excellent-the tour was a full 3+ hours with many interesting stops along the way. Our guide Angie was engaging and knowledgeable and it was clear she enjoyed taking us through Kilkenny and these particular food locations. Would highly recommend-clearly worth the money

The tour guide was nice but as others have mentioned there was not much food for a food tour. Also we must have ran out of time as the tour guide said she it was time for her to leave as we were enjoying our Irish whiskeys. So we did not make it to the last stop on the tour which was ice cream. This omission was also mentioned by another reviewer. If the last stop is no longer on the tour, it should be removed from the description as it is misleading.

My wife and I would highly recommend the Daytime Food Tour. The food we got to taste was delicious, with far greater varieties and quantities than anticipated. Sampling of some great beer, wine and distilled spirits was also included. Sorcha was our guide for the Tour, and she provided a great deal of information about the food and drink we sampled as well as about Galway - just as importantly, her vibrant and energetic personality helped to make the tour an incredibly fun event that was the highlight of our time visiting Galway.
