Bhaktapur & Panauti: Nepal's Timeless Heritage Day Escape

I had a wonderful time on this tour despite doing it in the pouring rain during a major festival when many things were closed. I requested a female guide which the agency honored. Puspa was wonderful as was the driver Usha; both adeptly navigated the challenges of the day. Due to the festival (Dashain) we were not able to have lunch with a local family so instead we had lunch at a pleasant restaurant overlooking Bhaktapur Durbar square. The beauty of doing the tour in the rain was we practically had the sights to ourselves. I highly recommend this tour and Puspa as a guide!

Really enjoyed this tour, Bhaktupar is easily the best of the three available. Mainly as it’s a whole town, not just a square and so MUCH less touristy. Panauti was a really interesting addition too, an authentic village. Highly recommend!

Monica and our driver took me on a fantastic tour. So informative and detailed, tailored to my needs and interests. As a solo traveler, I felt so well taken care of. I loved learning about the history of each town and seeing all the temples. The highlights were definitely visiting the pottery store in Bhaktapur and having homemade lunch at a local homestay in Panauti. Would definitely recommend to solo and groups!

We had an outstanding day visiting these two sites with pushpa as our guide. She went way out of her way to make sure that we were happy and that we covered all of the areas we wanted. She took us to some local shops for ceramics, paintings and even singing bowls and we felt the people working there were respectful and not at all pushy. They explained the process and how quality of the items is determined. She offerred a lunch with a homestay family which we readily accepted. Another great experience. The car was an electric SUV, modern and clean with a great AC. 🙂 We booked through viator and everything went off without a hitch. A great day.

Simply excellent ! Abit is a true passionnante guide, a cultural mediator, professeur of history, explainer of many religious facts regarding hindouisme and bouddhisme and has a lot of anecdotes to share. I came to find a tour guide, i found the best one on the world and a New friend ! Driving was excellent too.

Very interested visit must to do in Nepal. Both cities are a real diamonds to visit in Nepal. Kalpana the guide gave very detailed explanations about architecture, history and life in Nepal. Very professional and kind. I really enjoy the visit with her. Sandy the driver is very professional and careful. Thank you to both kind ladies.

We spent two whole days with our guide Puspa and Shanti (driver) to explore Kathmandu and the Kathmandu valley. Puspa was extremely experienced and knowledgeable. She was very warmhearted and easy to talk to. By chatting to her we learned a lot about Nepalese family life, culture and authentic food. Shanti was an excellent and reliable driver and easily navigated out of difficult traffic situations. Both are highly recommended and surely will make your trip a very special one. We enjoyed every second.

Anup’s knowledge of history, culture and religion is vast. In terms of information this is some of the best value for money you’ll get. The tour was comfortable and pitched at an appropriate pace, with plenty of time to take pictures or stop for a bite to eat.
