The title is misleading, since this teip does not go until anavilhanas archipelago. You can see it in the distance from the beach where you stop to swim. This is a slow boat trip, very basic boat, on the Ariau river connecting solimoes and rio negro. That is fine if you have not been to the amazon and want to see monkeys fed etc, trees on a narrow river. You see a large samauma. You need to pay extra for drinks in the lunch, which was informed afterwards. The jungle trek is 1.3km long and take 1 to 1.30 hours to walk, that was nice, thick jungle and learning about trees. However no animals really, or stopping to observe them. There was no 3 hour trek but mostly sitting in boat. And no anavilhanas. Otherwise ok, if you are not expecting something else.

It is hard to find words, that much this Company genuinely loves what they do and their customers. They are all passionate about human and nature and protecting flora-fauna of the Amazon. Everything was around the clock and Francisco accepted me into the small day group with the biggest hospitality and friendship. They have a very well functioning Team, starting with the driver, the locals... All were guiding us according to their skills. Some talked our language(s), one another, who live right next to the river, showed us the animals and natural secrets and 'products' of their jungle. I hardly can take humid weather, but that walk in the jungle was that interesting that I forgot about climate issues. We really became one Team with the other guests too, and spend a lot of time in the boat, long way down the river, then at the 'private beach', saw the remainder of the 'Captain Cousteau Hotel' (that was a big personal to me, I like Cousteau), so he told that a hotel would be nice at around that place. Which hotel was visited then for some years, by many celebrities. Then we fished for piranhas, ate local food in the house of one of the guides and with his family, observed a very old tree, met with 2 spieces of monkeys (squirrel monkeys sat on our laps and grabbed our hands too for the banana). Fun time and nature together, and this much of things. In a day, not like in 7! I don't list all the things of the jungle walk, some are better to remain a surprise (if others did not comment all of those already :) ). Thanks again for this Team for organizing this all!

Highly recommend this tour. Really, a beautiful day spent with very knowledgeable guides. We swam with wild dolphins, fed bananas to monkeys, caught piranhas, had a delicious lunch, napped in hammocks, it's truly awesome exploring the Amazon at a leisurely & unhurried pace. We were able to really absorb nature's beauty. It is a peaceful, lovely tour & also A LOT of fun -- just don't forget your mosquito repellant : ) Thank you for the memories !

A very well organised tour, with expert guides. Impressive river journey, a variety of wildlife (especially birds). On the trip to the forest, the guide's fascinating knowledge of different plants and trees. An unforgettable experience.

I can't recommend this tour highly enough. It has everything especially for you to get an instant taste of the Amazon. First and foremost the guides are brilliant. Francisco who owns the company is an incredible MAN. He is very polite and accommodating as well as being one of the funniest people you are likely to meet. The tour starts with your pick up in your hotel ( ours in was in the centre of Manaus) Francisco was there on time (7.30am) and hen there was drive of about an hour to the river to board the boat. We are handed over to our guides ( one was for English speakers and another for Brazilians). In total there were about 10 of us the boat. Within about 2 minutes of getting on the bat we were able to catch a close up of pink river dolphins. Our English speaking guide Vinisius was brilliant and took time to explain everything in details. The crew provide water throughout the trip ( which you will need). The first half of the trip was along the river before it opened into the Anavilhanas Archipelago. You only see this and do not actually go into this huge complex of islands. But the opening to this area will blow your mind. We went swimming- so bring bathing clothes do not miss this opportunity! All the time the crew are very respectful of Nature, they do not do gimmicking stuff like attract dolphins etc. If this is what you want then these are not your people We saw lots of animal including monkeys getting on the boat and even sloths. The local guide- Paolo was again remarkable- he was the spotter and found all sorts of animals and all the while there were dolphins. You then have lunch at the riverside ( at the guides home!). The food was good- grilled fish, salads, rice etc. When the guides found out that I was vegetarian, they got the cook to fry some eggs for me- another wonderful gesture. Regarding lunch, the only thing you need to pay for is the drinks other than water. After a lazy but not too long lunch, the guide takes you into the forest for a walk. This was again very enjoyable- lots of insects and amazing plants. The trip ends with us being picked up for the drive back to the hotel. My son who is 12 loved this day so much. He smiled all day long and into the night. We would like to thank Fracnsco, Vinisius and Paolo for a day that will live long in the memory. Do yourself a favour and get booking!

This was one of the most fun days ever, and I have traveled 94 countries, so it must have been great. Hotel Pick - Driven to Ariau River & to motor boat - Feed bananas to little monkeys, lots of animas and beautiful scenery - Entered the Black River - Found a cove to fish for piranhas - swam in the Black River - Enjoyed a fish lunch with beer - rested in a hammock - They took us for a one hour easy hike stopping to learn about medicines from local trees - The day was a good memory.

It was amazing!! the organization was perfect, early wake up call, a car pick you up and en route for amazing aventures - saw monkeys, alligators, sloth, pink dolphins, piranhas, all of these without interacting and disturbing too much with the wild life (important to me). We had a fantastic just cooked lunch near the river by one of our host: Fresh delicious fish, rice, fruits, salads...our guides were wonderful and friendly, with a lot of Amazon knowledge, we learned a lot. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that want to have a more "eco" friendly tour that does not impact too much the faune and the flore. THANK YOU to the team, will be back soon.
