Exclusive Panda Close-Up: Private Chengdu Sanctuary Tour

Perry is so good. He arrived on time and detailed introduction during the trip. We saw lots of panda. It’s very suitable for solo, couple or family.

Perry is a friendly and helpfull guide who told us a lot about the panda's. He informed us about the Center en led us away from the tourists so whe could see a lot of panda's.

Our tour guide Perry was really great. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the pandas and everything else we saw. He also introduced us to a really good restaurant and we tried lots of new foods. Our only negative was that the vehicle had a very bad smell of smoke. Also, we thought we were inside the third ring but we weren’t and the extra RMB200 fee was a surprise. I highly recommend Perry for this tour.

Jason was a great guide, made our visit to panda centre very good. We had a nice chat throughout the tour, so would recommend him to anybody.

Jason was an awesome tour guide to see the pandas! I was unsure if seeing pandas over and over and over in a zoo would be fun, but…I was wrong. This was a blast. And Jason provided transportation from the hotel, brought us through a not-as-popular entrance that was less crowded, and made sure we saw the main event: The baby (~2mo old) pandas! He answered all my random questions about pandas (with awesome English), and let me go at my own pace through the base. Oh, and the pandas were amazing. Going early in the morning (7:30am pickup) was the best decision to see the pandas most active One star knock because: - Communication before taking the tour: I’ve taken tours in China before where the company will message you (1) that they’ve received your booking, and (2) the day before your tour to introduce you to your guide. Neither of these happened. I messaged via Viator and WhatsApp to the organizer to confirm I was getting pickup the next day (Sunday), but didn’t get a response until after I’d finished tour. I walked down to my hotel lobby simply hoping someone would be there to pick me up (and there was!). I wish I had messaged just a couple days before the tour to confirm, and had that peace of mind. - Since I wasn’t in contact with the operator before the tour, the “volunteer option” in the activity title ended up not being available to me. I was on the fence about doing it, but because it was not arranged in advance, I was not able to decide day-of. I had also wanted to see the red pandas, but they weren’t on the standard tour and I forgot to ask until the very end, so missed out there. Could have solved this with a little earlier communication! Don’t let the communication commentary scare you away - this day was so much fun, and my friend is taking the tour next month because I talked about it so much! 🐼

I had a great afternoon at the Panda base with Perry. There was so much panda activity and I had some great views of all of the pandas. We must have seen 15+ pandas and only 2 were sleeping! Perry was a great guide - very knowledgeable and friendly. Ended the tour over a light meal and some great tips for things to do in Chengdu. Highly recommend.

To visit the Pandas was unbelievable nice. We got a lot very interesting informations from our guide Perry and we were very happy that Perry was our guide.

Had a really amazing time at the Panda breeding centre. Our guide Perry was brilliant, he was friendly and very knowledgeable. He knew all of the best spots to see all of the pandas and the best time to go to each (before they started sleeping). Saw lots of Giant Pandas and a few red pandas, all so cute! Had a brilliant time and would highly recommend our guide and this trip!

It’s a very good trip to chengdu panda research base . The best place to go for is in a park or and the best park in the country

Great time in Chengdu with Perry, our guide. Panda reserve and Leshan Buddha. Very informative and went the extra mile to show us the Peoples Park and sat and had tea with us. It was great. Very good English. Thank you Perry!
