Breathtaking Mistico Park Sky Walk: Hanging Bridges Tour

We booked an early morning guided walk and were allocated Edgar as our guide. Little did we know when we set out that it was going to be among the best ~3 hours we have ever had. Even from the get-go in the car park Edgar was pointing out Coatis and within a few steps into the reserve we sighted humming birds. He was so knowledgeable on all things to do with nature: natural history, wildlife, flora, fauna and even Costa Rican history! Without his knowledge and patience we would not have seen the blue jeans frog less than 1 metre away, the sloth sleeping in the tree, a viper coiled up on a branch, the smallest bats in CR and our first sighting of the Blue Morph butterfly. Edgar took some amazing photos for us on our phones through his telescope, some of the best we have for our albums! Edgar, you are a legend and thank you for sharing your immense knowledge and showing us round your “office”.

We had an awesome experience on this tour! Our guide was Gabriel and he was so friendly, knowledgeable, and really took the time to help us understand and see the nature around us. He was also very funny and made it a very fun experience! I would recommend this tour to anyone hoping to enjoy the wildlife and views at Místico Park, and especially recommend Gabriel as a guide.

We had a wonderful experience and came away with new knowledge and beautiful photos. Spend the extra money and book the guided tour — it’s absolutely worth it! You’ll see many more animals and enjoy incredible close-up views. We spotted two types of sloths, several birds, and even a viper — all things we likely would have missed on our own. Our guide Alonso was friendly, professional, and genuinely enthusiastic. We highly recommend him and this tour.

My husband and I are on an anniversary trip to Costa Rica, staying near La Fortuna. We booked a hanging bridges private guided tour with Mistico and it was awesome. Our tour was at noon (I have heard that early morning tours are best for seeing more of the wildlife but we visited the La fortuna waterfall this morning). Roberto was absolutely amazing. Our walking tour lasted about 2.5 hours and we saw so many amazing things and learned so much! Monkey, sleeping sloth, several snakes, lizards and other reptiles, beautiful birds, spiders, ants and more. The best part was that Roberto took photos of everything, including us anytime we asked, and airdropped everything to me at the end. Cannot recommend this tour enough. There is no way we would have seen the things we did without the guided tour! Would absolutely do it again! All of the photos are what Roberto took as we spotted them!

I booked this trip on my own through Viator for my friend and l before we arrived in Costa Rica. What a wonderful experience with a guide and these walking bridges. Think we did about 7 of them? Having a guide was excellent as he showed us so much more than if you walked it yourself. Best way to go with a guide or you’ll miss so much! Worth doing and seeing this beautiful park!!

Amazing and very interesting tour through the park. Roberto F. is a very friendly and didicated guide with an extensive knowledge about wildlife. I‘ve learned a lot. So good to have all the pictures as memorization :-)

Edgar was our tour guide and did an amazing job!! He obviously loves what he does and is an expert in spotting animals, plants and providing information on all.

Our guided tour was wonderful. Our guide José / Raul (he goes by both names) loves nature, loves animals, and loves his country. With every story he shared, we felt his deep connection with the place and we just loved being around his energy as he took us through the beautiful park. Couldn't recommend him and the tour highly enough.

We visited Mistico Park in La Fortuna on Monday, September 21st, and had an amazing experience. Our guide, Edgar, made the tour truly special. His passion for nature and wildlife was clear from the start—he had a great eye for spotting animals we would have completely missed on our own, and he shared so much knowledge in an engaging and enthusiastic way. We left with a much deeper appreciation for the nature of Costa Rica and all the animals that call it home. Highly recommend both Mistico Park and Edgar as a guide.
