Clean busses, friendly staff. No more earbuds-they’ve installed speakers - but the narrative is only English. A great way to get the layout of the city, and decide where you’d like to explore.

It was a good tour. We took both options and saw a good bit of Auckland. Only thing I did not like was we had to walk about a kilometre from the cruise port to redeem our vouchers.

Once we figured out that you not only see better but hear the commentary better from the second level it was great.

My wife and two of our children did the Auckland Explorer bus on our first day in Auckland. Having done bus experiences like this in London and Manhattan, this was no different from those experiences. The audio commentary was projected out loud to the people on the bus, so a separate headset was not necessary. We did not make use of the hop-on, hop-off nature of the experience, but stayed on the bus for a full loop of Auckland, both the main "red tour", as well as the seasonal summer "blue tour", as the summer has started ramping up here. Overall, a nice way of getting the lay of the land here in Auckland.

We used the Auckland Explorer Hop‑On Hop‑Off Tour for 24 hours and it was a super convenient way to take in the city. The double‑deck buses cover all the main sights — Sky Tower, Bastion Point, Parnell Village, the zoo, Auckland Museum — and having the option to hop off and explore made our day feel relaxed yet full.

These buses are perfect to get a great overview of the city highlights. Plus the 24hr validity is handy when exploring some of the stops.

Was not the best hop on off bus route I had been on. Only real stop to disembark is the war memorial museum.

The Hop On Hop Off is a must do experience in Auckland. Completely enjoyed it. Jarden gave outstanding service.

The actual tour on the bus was ok there was one stop where we had to wait over 45min but we kept ourselves amused however the management team for Auckland explorer is a joke, they couldn’t manage there way out of a paper bag two different people gave us different information and they couldn’t tell me the difference between two different priced tickets and you shouldn’t need to validate your tickets if you purchase online. If you do go on Auckland explorer go to google look up $45 tickets for hop on hop off bus the $65 tickets are for the exact same ride.

People friendly with City Link bus to orient you to this harbour city. Picturesque heritage buildings such as the post office and central train station are well worth seeking out near the waterfront. Atrium on Takutai and the many restaurants in that area are varied and five⭐️. All the international designer boutiques and amazing local NZ designers are scattered through the waterfront areas.
