Breathtaking Cradle Mountain: Launceston Day Tour & Lunch!

This experience is well worth the early start. Unfortunately for the trip I went on the weather was dreadful at Cradle Mountain, however that’s out of everyone’s control, the must did clear and we did see the mountain. Our guide Steve was excellent. He made the day enjoyable for us by giving us a choice of some places to visit, the honey producer and the cheese farm. He was extremely knowledgeable about Tasmania and particularly this area. Wear warm clothing and sensible shoes for walking.

We loved to hear the Gustav & Kate’s challenges and to hear the final moments. Sheffield stops were the best but would have liked to spend a bit more time at the Ranger’s office to look at the old photos and album. Really enjoyed Wilhelm cottage. Macca (driver and guide) was AMAZING, but needs to work a bit on his jokes & get his “botany” sorted 😂 Overall, a lovely trip

I never give 5 as people can’t improve he did a great job as driver and host had plenty of information and also said needs to study up more as to things to cover with Cradel mountain

Terrific experience. Wonderful, well informed guided tour. I highly recommend this tour, which provided all the information we needed about Cradle Mountain and its history.

This trip was a great one day experience. Our driver and guide David was friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. I felt very looked after and safe the whole trip. The scenery is spectacular but just a word of warning - it was extremely cold. Like below 0 and the weather can be brutal. So even though it's a day tour, take waterproof clothing (a jacket - at least), scarves, beanies, gloves - the whole bit. The weather can turn on a dime and an umbrella just won't cut it up there. You need to be rugged up and waterproof.

When we were picked up we were advised that snow was expected at Cradle Mountain and a chance the last section of road would be closed preventing seeing the mountain. We were offered a full refund but everyone decided to take the trip. David the driver was very informative along the route withe several stops along the way. As we approached the visitor centre we could see the snow falling and unfortunately the road was closed. despite this we enjoyed the walks around the area and the indoor centre and warmed up in the bar over 3 hours . The views along the way made the 10 hour day worth it.

We had an amazing day at Cradle Mountain. Beautiful scenery and snow. David was a great guide with a wealth of information. Thanks David for an awesome day 😊 I would highly recommend this tour.

A great day, despite the rain. Beautiful scenery and wildlife... we managed to spot wild wombats! Our tour guide Steve was fabulous - friendly and informative. Would highly recommend this tour company.

Four of us went on this tour on 25 July with Dave our Driver. Could not fault it. Perfectly paced, great driver and commentary and scenery was amazing . Im sure our fellow passengers had a great experience too. Highly recommend.
