A long way to arrive at the starting point of the hike but really worthwhile. Even under clouds the lake is beautiful. Highly recommended. The guide and driver were both very good too.

This excursion is filled with many wonderful sight, views, and calories burned. +4 mile round trip hike to Humantay Lake is worth pushing through the climb through the hills and mountain. Price was great and our tour guide Wilfredo did an amazing job guiding us to and from the lake. Highly recommend for nature lovers and athletes.

I had a wonderful trip with Chullos Travel Peru to Humantay Lake with our tour guide Alex. He is the BEST guide you could ask for, friendly, attentive and very knowledgable. He knows the ways and paths of the hiking trail as if it's his backyard. The whole tour takes about 12 hours, including transportation and breaks for breakfast and lunch in between. Breakfast and lunch are included in the tour cost, self-served and taste amazing! There are a lot of walking and hiking on steep hills, so I would recommend you rent a horse for 80 soles per person if you are not used to prolonged cardio activities. It would give you more time to take pics with the lake as well. Getting a raincoat and hiking shoes will make life much easier for you. There are a few bathrooms along the way from where the bus drops you to where you can rent the horse.

This was not easy but it was absolutely worth it! The vans are very bumpy because the terrain is rocky so be prepared. Overall, a beautiful scene you can only see if you put on the work. Do it!

One of the breath taking trekking I have done so far, it was quite a memorable experience, I will always remember. 14km trekking was quite difficult, for those who are not used to trekking much can avail the option of horses (90 soles).

This was a seamless experience from the pickup to drop off. Wally was a very friendly and informative guide who brought positive energy to the group and was more than happy to take photos for everyone. The lake was absolutely stunning and I would say this is a must do for anyone visiting Cusco. I was also very happy with the buffet breakfast and lunch provided. Would definitely do this tour again.

Our day trip to Humantay Lake was absolutely breathtaking! The hike was challenging but so rewarding — every step brought more stunning mountain views, and the turquoise-blue water at the top felt like something out of a dream. Our guide was fantastic, keeping us motivated, explaining the Inca history, and helping us pace the climb. The scenery was surreal, with snow-capped peaks, grazing alpacas, and crystal-clear air. Definitely bring warm layers and coca tea for the altitude. It was one of the most memorable experiences of our Peru trip — worth every bit of the effort! Highly recommended and thank you Alex

Our tour guide Wayre was very helpful during the whole trip: telling us do not eat too much which is a survival skill in high altitude and then helped the whole group take pictures one by one. Highly recommend!

I had an unforgettable experience visiting Humantay Lagoon with Wayra! The organization was excellent from start to finish, our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive to everyone’s needs. The bus was comfortable, and the breakfast and lunch provided were delicious. The hike itself was challenging but totally worth it, the view of the turquoise lagoon surrounded by snow-capped mountains was breathtaking. Our guide explained the cultural and spiritual importance of the place, which made the experience even more meaningful. I highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Cusco. Wayra made everything easy, safe, and truly enjoyable!
