An awesome hot air balloon ride! Jason the pilot was terrific, kept us safe and pointed out all the highlights seen from the gondola. Great itinerary and planned flight. Assisting with rolling up the balloon after the flight was pretty cool to do. Champagne and snacks after the flight was delightful. I would book again.

What an amazing start to our trip. Seeing the sunrise over the outback was breathtaking. From the early morning pick up to the end of the day was run so smoothly. The staff were professional and friendly with lots of stories to share. Can’t think of a better way to spend my time in Alice Springs.

Jason our pilot and Brett the bus driver gave us a wonderful experience. We sat off and had the most amazing flight landing exactly where Jason told us we would. We felt safe and enjoyed the banter and commentary on our journey, we picked a wonderful day for ballooning. We all helped pack away the balloon which in itself was great fun, then the bubbles came out and my cup getting refilled. We enjoyed this so much more than expected, thank you so much Jason

Very organised trip for pick up/drop off, information and safety. Got some good footage of the sun rising over the Alice Springs area. Also really interesting watching the bloon inflate/deflate. Helped a little with the packing, which was fun. Some nibbles and champagne to finish.

The experience was brilliant from pick up at the hotel to dropping us back off just after 10am. It’s a very early morning but well worth it. Duncan picked us up at 5:40am and took us to the site for where we were flying from. Jason was our pilot for the day. The balloon is the largest in the country and even seeing this being inflated was amazing. We took off before sunrise and saw the beauty of the Australian outback from above. The old Ghan railway. The old and new roads Darwin to Adelaide, the bush, and lots of happy hopping kangaroos. The sunrise and the mountains were beautiful. We had a perfect landing after our flight and we all helped to deflate and out away the balloon before refreshments and stories from John. An amazing experience

- On occasion, the 60 minute flight time may be two separate, sequential 30 minute flights taken one directly after the other with a short changeover in between the two flights, depending on operational restrictions. Passengers will be notified the day prior should this be the case on the day of their flight.
- Child price applies to 6-14 years and must be accompanied by an adult.
- Children 3-5 years are not recommended but considered on an individual basis.

- Safety is our primary concern and if we are prevented from flying due to unsuitable weather conditions, passengers may either re-book for another day or receive a full refund. The pilot’s decision with regard to flying conditions is final.
- Where possible, the balloon flight should always be booked for the first available day in the area to allow for re-booking in case of bad weather.
- General Health
- Physical fitness is not a requirement to enjoy a ballooning adventure, but passengers must be able to climb up and into the basket (approx. 1.2 metres in height) unaided using the basket foot holes and stand for the duration of the flight.
- Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) rules and regulations and Outback Ballooning’s policy prevent us from flying women who are over 12 weeks pregnant. Pregnancy must be advised in advance.
- Illness and/or recent operations that may affect the person or other persons on the tour must be notified to Outback Ballooning in advance. Medication should be brought on the tour.
- The packing up tasks at the end of the flight are optional and we would appreciate your assistance in these enjoyable activities. However, they do involve some lifting and participation is entirely voluntary. Passengers that are less able bodied are invited to stand back and take photos. Persons with medical conditions participating in the balloon flight and pack up activities do so at their own risk.
- Any form of disablement must be discussed with Outback Ballooning prior to making a booking. Each person is considered on an individual basis.
- The flight and carriage of any passenger will take place at the pilot’s discretion.
