Breathtaking Peneda Gerês: Exclusive Small Group Adventure from Porto

The weather was awful, but Miguel was great and came up with a wonderful plan-B. Miguel was wonderful, caring, and knowledgeable. We truely enjoy our time despite the weather which no one can control.

What a full and beautiful day with our “ray of sunshine” guide, Teresa! Despite the rain, she showed us many beautiful places in the park, took us to a small village restaurant for a delicious lunch, and fun experience in the hot springs.

Very small group (just 3 of us), so it was a lot of personal attention. Our guide, Andre, was terrific. Took us to a swimming area with absolutely no one else there--very cool.

We were treated to a four by four trip in our visit to the park. Maia was a wonderful guide accommodating my handicap and still providing glorious views of the park. Theluncheon was a traditional meal at a small inn.

I went on this tour today and it was fantastic. We were a small group of 4, and the tour guide. We had the absolute pleasure of having Rosario as our tour guide. He was really knowledgeable, friendly and hilarious! His confidence when driving those winding mountains. The entire trip was the perfect mix of breathtaking, relaxing, and adventurous moments, especially with his detour. The day was a long one, but it felt like it just flew by. I would definitely do this again, especially if Rosario is leading the way!

I was a little skeptical on this tour once I booked it as it initially stated that it was a hotel pickup but I found out that it was a central pickup only and the organisers were quite strict about it, so you may have to make your own way to the pickup areas be that metro or walking. However, our tour guide for the day Pedro Rosario was the perfect man for the job to make me feel better about the decision to go with the tour. Pedro is passionate about Porto, Portugal, cows, 'royal eagles' and especially driving. He loves driving so much he spends the majority of the day doing it just so you can enjoy the views and nature in Portugal's only national park. Pedro will go out of his way to make your day better! If you want to enjoy the serenity and views of the national park with a cool tour guide, then I'd book this one with Pedro 🤘

Absolutely exceeded our expectations. A beautiful day with great people and the best tour guide on the planet Rosario was kind, thoughtful, amazingly knowledgeable and a very safe driver. I learned so much about the sites and the history of Portugal. He made our time a lot of fun.

We had a truly wonderful time on this tour. Rosario (Pedro) was an excellent guide -warm, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared a lot of interesting information with us and answered every question thoughtfully. Even stopped to show us a 'cork oak tree' that I had inquired about. If he didn't know something, he made a point of finding out - such dedication! As others have mentioned, the drive itself was beautiful (a bit winding at the end;), with stunning viewpoints and scenic trails along the way. But what really set this experience apart was the guide. Rosario brought the whole journey to life and made it genuinely memorable. We highly recommend this guide and this tour!

An experience of a lifetime and a real highlight of our stay in Portugal. A special mention of Pedro, who was first class and excellent tour guide. Humoured, informative, and all-around great guide.

Really enjoyed this whole day tour around Geres led by Rosario who gave info on where we were walking and the waterfalls we saw. Beautiful weather to enjoy the walks to the waterfalls although I decided not to swim I liked that it was an option and the highest viewpoint to see the whole valley was amazing. Enjoyed trying the portugese picnic food for lunch too.
