Musandam Fjords: Unforgettable Dhow Cruise & Snorkel Oasis

We had a really wonderful day pottering around the area. The captain and steward were brilliant – so friendly and full of interesting insights about the local people and their way of life. Lunch was excellent, with plenty of rice, chicken, salad, dal, and fresh fish. We were also offered plenty of drinks and fruit throughout the day, which was a lovely touch. After swimming in the beautiful waters, we were even given fresh towels – such thoughtful hospitality. All in all, a fantastic experience that I would definitely recommend! 🤗

The captain was so kind. He explained the process well and showed us nice scenery as well as the dolphin family. My mom was satisfied. Thank you.

Brilliant 6 hr trip to dolphin watch, swim and snorkel off a dhow through the beautiful fjords of Khasab. We were picked up on time from cruise port with our names on a card held by Dolphin Tour staff and dropped back at cruise port on time so no panic about missing ship! Dhow was great - lovely helpful crew and not crowded. Facilities onboard included nice clean toilet with sink, fresh water hose/shower for rinsing off after swim and towels. We brought our own snorkels as they aren’t provided. We had an excellent lunch onboard and were given a plentiful supply of soft drinks, water and fresh fruit. We saw lots of colourful fish and had two opportunities to swim and snorkel. We also saw and followed lots of dolphins on several occasions and got some excellent photos/video shots. I did this trip with my son and we thoroughly recommend this trip - definitely the highlight of our week’s cruise.

Best tour in Musandam to watch Dolphins. From initial contact to timeliness of pick up everything is very well organized. We were the only ones in the big boat but they did not cancel. We were treated like a royalty and dolphins made our day a memorable one. Food was basic but adequate.

We were picked up in the morning at the hotel and taken by a strong English speaking host to the pier. He guided us to our dhow, where my husband and I realized that we would have the full day cruise to ourselves! Having spoken to another tourist the day before, and landing during a busy weekend, we thought we'd be on a boat with 20 or more other passengers, but in fact, it was just the two of us. And was it LOVELY! The captain and first mate tended to our every need, frequently offering us information about what we were seeing, soda and/or water, and then a lovely lunch of multiple hot foods for our enjoyment. The dhow is completed shaded and provided a welcome respite from the high temps we had been experiencing in UAE and Oman. The snorkeling and dolphin sightings were just superb. We were in such good hands! When the dolphins allowed us to see them and then ride up along the boat - well, it was really the thrill of a lifetime. We were a little unsure about what we had signed up for in anticipation, but the next time, we would even spend the night on the dhow out under the starts. simply superb! Thank you!!

Great day, would have been good to have some commentary, as we had no idea what we were looking at. Plenty of food and drinks and not rushed at all.

Wow!!! What an amazing day. From the meeting at the meeting point to setting out in the cruise. It was all very well go-ordinates and well done. It was a windy day and they were very accommodating for it. The captain and crew were very helpful too. Great food on board. And all day refreshments were available too. We got to swim for a long time and got the opportunity to see lots of dolphins. Will definitely return.

We loved this tour! Everything was as described, nice crew on board who made everything comfortable for us. We even saw lots of dolphins. Being cruise passengers we felt safe all the time to get back to the ship in time.
