We requesgted a licensed battlefield guide and Paul Bailey was assigned. What a gem of a guy! He arrived on time and asked us what we were interested in. He proceeded to tailor his talk to all the things we wanted to know about. We requested a 4 hour tour. At the end of 4 hours, Paul (who had talked non stop already for 4 hours!) looked and sounded like he could easily go on for 4 more hours. We had barely scratched the surface of his knowledge. We highly recommend Paul, if you have the chance to have him assigned to your group, you will not be disappointed. Paul is clearly one of the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides at the park. We can't recommend him highly enough!

The museum was a great experience and the movie that comes with admission is a top notch production, and it has a large gift and souvenir shop. You can also arrange for a Licensed Battlefield Guide here as well, I highly recommend it!

I loved this museum. The movie was filled with information regarding the battle. The rest of the museum was a really neat experience.

The live action program at the Gettysburg Heritage Center was an absolute highlight of our visit. The reenactors didn’t just perform—they transported us back in time, showing what life was like for ordinary civilians suddenly caught in the crossfire of the Battle of Gettysburg. Each character shared personal stories that made history feel real, emotional, and human, far beyond what you might read in a textbook. We were happy to continue our time with three of the actors who further revealed moments before, during, and after the battles of Gettysburg: Tim Hirt and Debbie Saltziver (from Gettysburg Licensed Town Historians/Guides), and Debbie (from the Shriver House) were tops! Please know that your efforts to bring to life the citizens of Gettysburg have not gone unnoticed! Your talents have helped us understand well beyond what any textbook tour would. The setting, the costumes, and the passion of the performers all came together to create an immersive and unforgettable experience. It was both educational and deeply moving—we walked away with a greater appreciation for the hardships faced by families during the Civil War. If you want to experience history brought to life in a way that stays with you, I highly recommend attending the live action program at the Gettysburg Heritage Center.

The Museum opened on time. They lent me a wheel chair for my husband. The 3rd photos/exhibits were truly unusual. The recreation of the battle & the cellar that people hid in for days.. The books they have ...are really terrific. It take 1 hour or 2 hours depending on how much read...

Outstanding experience and worth every penny. No better way to view the battlefield and understand how events unfolded. John Fitzpatrick was our tour guide and did a memorable job: most informative, detailed, thoughtful, respectful. Don't hesitate to book a tour. I'd do it again and for a longer tour.
