It is s 4 hour ride one way. Your time at the sites is limited because if this. If you take the safari you do not return to Colombo until 22:00 or later. Keep in mind that it is an 06:00 start! The sites are interesting. Sigiriya from a gelogic point of view id something rare. The magma core of an ancient vocano. The tour guides do not tell you this.

I had wonderful time in Kandy and Seegiriya with Mr. Dhanesh. Everything was just perfect. Mr. Dhanesh is simply the best. I highly recommend this tour :)

Picked up promptly in a good quality vehicle. Guide for the day was Chathu who was brilliant he was friendly, provided lots of local insight and was the perfect guide. He made the whole group feel at ease which was good because it was a long day.

Chattu did an amazing job of looking after us and explaining info about all the sites we visited in detail! My wife was a little sick and he did a good job of finding areas for her to sit down and rest.

It was such a great experience. Naveen and the driver guided us well during this trip. Despite the rain we had a lot of fun. We saw many elephants and also buffalos swimming. The Sigiriya Lion Rock and Temple were also amazing!!! Thank you guys!!

Sigiriya trip was one of the best decisions! Navile tour guide did his best to make the trip comfortable and easy for us, he was encouriging while climbing to the Rock and made the tour very interesting. We've seen cave temple, had a safari and saw elephants in natural habitat and then had a very tasty lunch! Make sure to have cash with yourself and ask questions to guide, they know best places to shop for souvenirs and just define best routes to make everything convenient regarding your trip overall to Sri Lanka.

This is an excellent trip if you are based in Colombo and aren’t planning to stay in Kandy. This was exactly what I was looking for as a quick introduction to the culture triangle with my limited time. It is a long day but you see a lot. The guide and drive were excellent not only in knowledge, and making sure we had everything we needed. But also driving respectful and safely. It was a busy day at the Cave temple, Sigiriya and the additional safari due to it being a national holiday. So check that and I would recommend any other day. If it wasn’t for our tour guide setting us up with a local Sigiriya guide at the site. I think I would still be in line trying to climb, due to the amount of people. I highly recommend this tour

I had the best experience on this day trip. Rajid and Bala were an amazing team. Rajid gave a lot of history and insights to the places we visited. Bala is an excellent driver and I felt very safe with him. As a solo traveler, I can wholeheartedly recommend this trip.

A very long drive back and forth so be sure you're up for it. Both Dambula and Sigriya are very busy sites during our visit - so make sure you're also up for it. The driver was not very patient with one of the guests we're with - he was even arguing with the guest while driving. To be fair, that was not a very easy guest. Views below Sigriya and on top is amazing!

Great trip by a great company with great staff - both our driver and guide (arron) were fab providing us with a life time memories - from the start with a prompt pick up from our hotel through a breakfast stop the Dambulla cave temples onto the highlight (the lion rock) followed by lunch and a jeep safari before a smooth lift back to the hotel in a comfortable mini bus - we would highly recommend this trip
