Unforgettable Gobustan & Absheron: Fire & Mud Wonders

Mahabbat was an excellent tour guide. Unfortunately the traditional mud volcano tour was cancelled due to rain, but they pivoted to mud volcano museum tour, which was also excellent.

The trip was excellent, time management was very good. We were given reasonable time at each site to fully explore. The guide “Mehebbet” was excellent and knowledgeable.

I enjoyed the tour of historic archeological and religious sites. The mud volcanoes and fire temple were particularly meaningful. Mahabat was a knowledgeable and affable guide who kept us on track and well on schedule on the (many) stops along the way. I definitely felt that I hit all the hot spots (pun intended) in a limited time to explore this beautiful city and surrounds.

The tour perfectly combined history, nature, and stunning landscapes, from Gobustan’s ancient rock carvings to the mud volcanoes and the Fire Temple. Everything was very well-organized, and our guide, Seyidaga, was exceptional, extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and attentive, making the entire experience even more memorable.
