Casco Viejo's Hidden Legends: An Unforgettable Discovery Tour

Alex is very engaging and knowledgable. We enjoyed hearing about the history of Casco Viejo and learning about the landmarks and stories behind them. We appreciated that Alex moved us along at a comfortable pace, and included a great deal of information in the allotted time.

Could not have asked for a better guide than Alex. He is very personable and knowledgeable on both the history and architecture of Casco Viejo. After the tour he recommended a local restaurant for dinner and had our driver pick us up an hour later. If you are interested in the history of the area this is a tour worth taking.

Alex gave us an in depth tour. He included a lot of detail and local history. After the tour, he directed us to a good restaurant, and arranged for a later pickup so we could enjoy dinner.

I learned a lot about Casco Celia in this tour and that’s what I wanted. It’s evident that Alex is passionate about this area. He talked about several resources that he studied in order to be able to share stories of the history. He did a good job of adjusting to the interests of the people in our group.

Although it was raining, I am glad I went on the tour. Alex the guide was prepared with umbrellas, fascinating stories, and indoor stops to keep the group dry!

Learned a lot about the different styles of buildings, history of the area, current efforts at restoring buildings, guide was knowledgeable on a wife variety of topics related to the area and its history. He stayed with us past the tour to help some of us buy souvenirs and others get Uber to their hotel. This was a good your of the highlights of the area

Very nice tour of Casco Viejo. We were a small group of 6 , booked with our guide Alex for an English-speaking tour of the old town. Alex is obviously passionate and knowledgeable about the history of the city. He seems to know pretty much all the shop keepers / church minders / museum tenants, is full of anecdotes he’s excited to share and has a great energy. I wish we’d been able to go a little bit more into the details and chronology of this beautiful place but there’s only so much we can do in a few hours. I warmly recommend the tour!

This was my first tour while recently on vacation in Panama and I enjoyed every moment of it. I toured with a small group of eight persons from diverse backgrounds. Our tour guide Alex was hands down the best. His vibrant personality, superb storytelling skills and wealth of knowledge of the history and culture of the Casco Viejo made the tour an amazing experience. He took us through the different streets and alleys and ensured that we didn't miss out on any of the hidden gems. There was something of interest to see at every stop. I was captivated by the rich history and beauty of this place and the people who live there. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone planning to visit Panama.
