Breathtaking Barcelona: City Bus & Catamaran Odyssey

We had very long flights, were exhausted by the time we got on the tour. We only did the red route which was excellent! Saw great landmarks, restaurants & shopping! It was about 2.5 hrs which was perfect for us. Had we not been so tired, we would’ve done the green route also! Info through the headphones was very good! Highly recommend seeing Barcelona especially if you have a short day or 2!

Great city ride. Great staff. Major attractions included and stops are within walking distance from bus stop. Good frequency of bus to cover entire city on green and orange lines.

Like all hop on hop off a bit confusing and with limitations, esp direction of flow. Nice bus. Staff ok. Would be more selective.

I’ve done hop on/hop off tours in other cities, this was my least favorite. More than 2:00 hours to do the full loop (on red line).. Seemed to take through some very bland, uninteresting neighborhoods. Narration was minimal - didn’t really learn anything about Barcelona. I would recommend this trip for transportation only, not as a tour guide, (although much cheaper to get around on tram/metro/busses with a one day pass).

The buses came regularly, even in late November. The commentary was somewhat interesting, and I enjoyed seeing the beaches, parks, and views from Montjuic from the open upper deck. I was disappointed that the Park Guell stop was five blocks and an uphill hike to the park though, and riding around took up a lot of time that could have been spent seeing specific sites. It would be difficult/impossible to time your arrival at sites closely enough to meet exact timed entry tickets purchased in advance (which is required during the summer). I’m not sure the trade-off was worthwhile to me, but the service provides exactly what it suggests. (The wifi wasn’t great from the top, but worked okay on the lower floor.) I didn’t book the boat ride because reviews said it was hard to meet the limited departure times. I heard people complaining that it screwed up their plans.

Wonderful! Always do these on the first day to get a sense of the city you are visiting! Such a conve isn't way to see the highlights and hear a out each in your language.

A good way to get an overview of Barcelona. But: the bus stops for extended times at stops whilst the driver gets off for a cigarette. The commentary when working is okay, but has more music than info. The boat trip: a catamaran and it didn’t set sail despite a 5-10kt breeze. When asked, “captains choice”! The benefits were a good way to see Barcelona and the price reasonable for 48 hours.

Barcelona is a huge city, so found the bus tour a great way to see many sites. We had an upper level seat and it was a bright sunny day. Good explanations of each area. Traffic wasn’t too bad, tour took about three hours.

The Hop On Hop Off bus tour is absolutely great!! A brilliant way of getting around and getting to know places and your bearings. Not cheap, at around £30, but probably the best way to acquaint yourself with Barcelona. It runs from 9am to around 9pm. And there is a bus roughly every 10/15 mns. Check the last bus times on the stop off point streetposts!!. Get there early and get up to the top deck. You see so much more from up there. And the tour commentary (through "free" headphones) is very informative.

This is a fantastic way to see the city of Barcelona not only by land but by sea when you do the catamaran trip like we dod.
