Sri Lanka Luxury: 12-Day Island Odyssey & Cultural Rebirth

The best experience I could have had in Sri Lanka. Donald is a passionate guy with a lot of knowledge of Sri Lanka and of the world in general. He taught me a lot of curiosities about his land. He always took me to secret places, out of touristic routes in order to experience the real Sri Lanka. We drove a Mini Cooper from the 70s on the Kandy’s hills, we went to the most ancient caves of the island, he took me to secret waterfalls with none else around. My tour with Donald was rhe best thing ever. I definitely recommend him to everyone!

This holiday was an amazing experience from start to finish. Don was a great tour guide with great knowledge of all of the spots we visited. He also had a knack for finding the best local snacks we could pick up on the way (spicy cucumber pieces were my personal fave). Sri Lanka itself was such a beautiful place, with very friendly people and SO MUCH good food. I will definitely go back.

An absolutely incredible once in a lifetime experience! Don made the whole trip so very special and we visited places that we never would have stumbled across if travelling alone. Sri Lanka is one of the most beautiful countries I have visited and having Don as our guide (and friend) is what made it so amazing. Highly recommend.

Sri Lanka with Donald was a trip of a lifetime. He knows the country intimately and was able to seamlessly weave together a host of unmissable experiences which made our trip unforgettable. We seemed to get to each place at just the right time to have the best experience, sunset at Sygiria rock, pre-dawn safari, train journey through the tea plantations as the clouds were parting after the rain. Completely magical and yet I know this was not pure chance, this was the expertise of Donald and his team.

I would have said you need to visit Sri Lanka. But instead, I say you need to visit Sri Lanka with Donald. As much as I thought the country was amazing and beautiful, what made my trip incredibly special were the people. Donald made us absolutely fall in love with Sri Lanka with his infectious love and passion for his country. He went above and beyond to make sure I did not miss a spot to take a picture, tried every fruit, left a question unanswered or even missed name of every single plant we came across. He catered to every single one of our needs and desires during our trip, no matter what. Despite the fact that we traveled during the peak of the worst economic crisis in the country, Donald made us feel extremely safe and positive through our trip. He is absolutely the best tour guide as his knowledge is unmatched and he really prioritised not only our well-being, but also our safety and enjoyment. Donald also has the best connections all throughout the island, and he is one of the most personable, best humoured and fun people you will ever meet. It is an understatement to say that I fell in love with Sri Lanka thanks to Donald. So if you are planning to visit Sri Lanka, don’t even think about booking another tour guide :)

Sri Lanka is a MUST visit country and for the BEST experience Skyfeather holidays is the one to choose! This trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I loved every second of it and it is because of Donald,our tour guide, who made every little thing so interesting and fun, it is hard not to see the love he has for his country, the way he has answers to every question you ask him is so exciting to see. And he knows all the hidden gems! I'm sure it wouldn't have been the same without him. 11 days went so fast and we saw so many things. We got to know the culture, history, every kinds of food... We didn't want to leave and because of him we definitely fell in love w the country! Will definitely come back and experience it all again with Skyfeather Holidays! In the summer of 2018, I visited Sri Lanka, and it’s hard to put into words how magical and transform Al this trip was! Sri Lanka is a beautiful country filled with so much love, spirit and positive energy. You can feel it in the locals you meet, the food you eat, the sacred places visited, the temples, the animals, and the nature we explored. You felt it all around you. And what made my trip even more meaningful was our tour leader Donald. Donald’s love for Sri Lanka and his knowledge of its history poured out of him. He loved sharing with our group everything he knew. His only focus was to ensure we had an incredible experience. And everyone on our trip did! One of my favorite parts of the trip was trying so many different foods. I’m usually nervous about what to eat when traveling abroad, but Donald knew all the best places to eat and food to try to ensure we continued to stay healthy and well while experiencing authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. We all cried at the end when as departed because the 10 days went so fast, and Donald helped us to fall in love and feel so connected to Sri Lanka. I will remember this experience for the rest of my life because of Donald.

Sri Lanka was the best holiday of my life. I cried on the way home because I didn’t want to leave!! The trip wouldn’t have been the same without Donald and I’m so happy he was our tour guide. The pride and passion he has for his country is infectious and he goes above and beyond to make sure you leave feeling the same. He is so well connected round the island that your journey takes you to some amazing places no other tourists would know about. He put our safety first at all times and we all felt very well cared for. He’s the best tour guide I’ve ever had and I would book again with Donald if I ever went back to Sri Lanka.

Traveling around Sri Lanka with Donald was a magical experience. Every detail was perfectly arranged for a seamless experience that included so many highlights - beaches, wild life, mountains, cities, etc. I can't recommend Donald enough. He is a beautiful individual who loves sharing all the wonders of Sri Lanka with travelers.

You couldn’t find someone more brilliant to take you around this beautiful country! Donald is so knowledgable about every aspect of Sri Lanka and has an incredible understanding of the best places to go/things to do to get the most out of every experience. His passion for his country, the culture, the people and giving visitors the most special memories is very unique…I’m hesitant to book another trip to a different country because I don’t think it will compare to Donald and Skyfeather in Sri Lanka.
