We did similar rides in other cities in the past but this was by far the best experience we had. Eddie is a very experienced guide, the bikes are in excellent condition and nearly new. Another first was the audio equipment with personal headsets so that Eddie could talk to us during the ride. It was used for background information and for giving notice for potential risks on the road. Eddie took pictures and videos during the ride and provided them for download.

This was a great tour—we toured beautiful Auckland from bottom to top. Eddie explained the history of Auckland and New Zealand. It was lots of fun and educational too!

Thoroughly enjoyed my morning touring the sights of Auckland. The view from Mt Eden a definite highlight. Matthew, our guide, was very knowledgeable and informative. Thank you!

This was one of the absolute best bike tours we have ever done (and we do quite a few). Very organized but super fun. And the amount of assistance you get on the e-bike is up to you—I wanted a bit of a workout so only used the minimal amount. But others in our group wanted a relaxing ride so bumped up the assist. Perfect! Carson was the perfect host—took great care of us and even told quite a few “dad” jokes. Brilliant!

The tour was outstanding from start to finish. The bikes are super modern, comfortable, and make the whole ride feel effortless. I also felt completely safe the entire time — everything is very well organized. Eddie is amazing: extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and always attentive to everyone’s safety while making sure we were all having a great time. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting a fun, unique, and memorable way to experience Auckland.

Wow we covered so much ground, what an awesome way to see Auckland. Eddie was incredible, we loved the ear pieces as it allowed us to stay connected throughout the whole ride. The bikes were easy to ride and the boost came in handy going up Mt Eden.

Had a fabulous ride around Auckland. Carson made sure the route was tailored to the best bits we wanted to see, and delivered us to and from the start point without drama, incident or exhaustion. Having taken good care to ensure we were familiar with the bike and how we were going to ride in convoy, he delivered a fabulous experience, with insightful knowledge, good humour and a healthy disregard for formalities. Would highly recommend as it is a great intro to the city and a wonderful ambassador for it.

The best way to get a feel for the city as a first-timer in Auckland! Carson was an awesome guide - obviously loves what he does and gave interesting info on each suburb as we rode around, as well as a thorough briefing on how to use the bikes before we set off. Loved it!!

Great tour of this wonderful city with passionate guide and Kiwi - thanks Carson. Interesting mix of facts, trivia, culture, history/future, all woven together with nuanced Kiwi humour along with a genuine care and concern for the safety and quality of experience for all participants! (Even us Aussies) The chosen eBikes were absolutely perfect for the job to help cover the 25kms and 300M height gain with minimal effort. Carson managed to wrangle a perfect weather window and we lucked in with a wonderful group of people to enjoy a morning together. Lastly, really appreciate Power to the Pedal's 2025 Eating and Drinking guide. Thank you!

- Whilst experience riding an electric bike is not necessary (we'll provide an orientation and we'll do a test ride to make sure you're comfortable before we head off), you must of course be able to ride a bike! If you haven't ridden in a while, for your enjoyment/safety and that of your fellow riders, we strongly recommend you have a practice riding at home before your visit to Auckland. As well as riding on our wonderful cycleways, we will of course be riding in the road at times (to get to the good places!). Riding in traffic is a dynamic environment, so you will need to be comfortable riding in the road in order to enjoy the tour. And Auckland's volcanic past means that there a quite few hills to go up and down - the eBikes make going up easy, but you'll obviously need to be able to ride downhill! If you’d prefer a shorter, easier ride along Auckland’s beautiful waterfront - check out The Easy Rider, one of our other tour listings!

- We recommend you bring sunscreen - the sun in NZ can be very harsh.
- You may also wish to bring a bottle of water with you for the ride. You can store that in the bag on your bike. The is also a water fountain near our departure point - if you need to fill up your water bottle.
- Whilst we welcome solo riders, this experience requires a minimum number of riders booked in order for it to go ahead (2). If it’s cancelled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll either be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
