Antwerp's Hidden Gems: 3-Hour Bike Expedition!

We could not recommend this tour more!! We only had one day in Antwerp and this cycling tour covered so much - from history, to architecture, food, sport and politics - Nicolas responded to what we showed interest in and navigated us around the city in an engaging and informative manner. We would never have found the interesting urban areas and streetscapes without the tour - and certainly would not have had the historical insight and stories. Most of all it was fun and chatty and 3 hours went by in a flash!!

Florian’s explanations were engaging and combined together parts of Gent’s history, geography, culture, architecture, and religious backgrounds. Super interesting! And I enjoyed his humor too, which was not forced but easily tossed into the tour.

Nicholas was fantastic. When you book a tour it isn’t always clear if you’re booking with a private business owner versus a corporation. What a delight to learn Nicholas built this business and did a fantastic job! His location in the train station is perfect. His willingness to store luggage secured in his shop is ideal for traveling. His tour was exceptional. He did a great job taking us to areas we would not have found on our own. He told the history of Antwerp well - the good and not so good. His personality is enthusiastic, engaging and friendly. 10/10 stars!

I did this tour with my 13 y/o and we had a great time. It was lovely biking through the city looking at all the landmarks. Our guide was informative and engaging, able to explain the history of Antwerp. Loved it.

Very well organised and beautiful route. The guide (Nicolas) was knowledgeable and friendly. Nice mix of part of the popular tourist attractions and lesser known places. Lovely way to discover a large area of Antwerp.

This was a very well paced trip. The highlights of the city were shar3d along with a well planned stop at a local bakery. My 13 year of granddaughter and I enjoyed the experience.

I booked a tour towards the end of February—the weather wasn’t particularly inviting for cycling, and I was the only person who had booked that day. Still, Nicolas, the tour guide, gladly went ahead with the tour despite me being the only participant. Since I had already seen some of the city's main sights the day before, he adjusted the route to show me areas I hadn’t explored yet, which I really appreciated. Nicolas is a historian by education, and he brings engaging context to the landmarks he introduces, always adding different perspectives and a good dose of humor. The tour felt very interactive and easy-going, and along the way, he gave me great recommendations for places to eat, grab a great coffee, visit bookstores, or check out a local cinema. You can tell that he enjoys what he does, that he’s proud of his city and what it has to offer, and he shares it with a lot of enthusiasm. The bike was also great—well-maintained, comfortable, and I was happy that there was an option without backpedal brakes (since I’m not the biggest fan of those). *TL;DR*: A 10/10 recommendation—don’t miss it when you’re in Antwerp!

We had a terrific ride. Our guide is extremely knowledgeable, comfortable with all sorts of people, and was a great story-teller. We would do this again in a heartbeat.

5 star bike hire in Antwerp. We visited Antwerp for a long weekend and found Cyclant right next to central station. We hired 2 bikes and toured right around Antwerp via the Architect route. Saw some great sights. Went to the port and throught the pedestrian tunnel to the beach. Great advise from cyclant who was brilliant. I would highly recommend cycling around Antwerp as its so flat. Thanks guys!

Great way to see Antwerp especially if you are visiting for the first time. Got to see parts of the city we would never have went to otherwise. Jona was very informative and was great listening to him
