Our tour will start at the meeting point, from where we will embark on a 3 hours journey to discover the most important historical and religious sites. We will visit the Ghats, crematorium, temples, narrow streets, markets and popular food stalls, but also less touristic spots that are key to understanding the reality of modern Varanasi. During our tour, we will be sharing with you historical information and other important facts but also telling you interesting stories about our daily life, our gastronomy and our customs.

Had a wonderful solo tour by Mr Niwas. Very informative. I would highly recommend. He even gave me a ride on his motorbike.

We had a fantastic tour with Akash! He was super friendly with excellent English. The pace of the tour was perfect and we had plenty of time to ask questions or meditate/pray at key sites. We saw parts of Varanasi that we never had before on previous trips and we really felt like we got to know the more hidden parts of the city. We would definitely recommend this tour and would book again on our return in the future.

This was such an enjoyable and informative tour for us 3 friends from Manchester, UK. Akash was full of knowledge and passion for the history of Varanasi and communicated perfectly in English. What was particularly refreshing after a few weeks in India was no there was no upselling, no taking you to a friends shop, no insistence on a tip or peering over my shoulder and insisting on writing a potentially dishonest 5 star review before we left the tour. We enjoyed it so much that we arranged a boat tour along the Ganges early morning the next day, which was also flawlessly executed and an experience we will never forget. Don’t hesitate with this one, highly recommended.

We had an amazing time on our tour with Niwas - he was friendly, informative and happy to answer any questions. I feel like we saw the real Varanasi which we never would have seen by ourselves - highly recommend this tour.

WOW what an informative fabulous tour around the backstreets of Old Varanasi. Niwas Vidya Chaubey was the perfect guide. We feel we now have a greater understanding of the soul of beautiful Varanasi. Can't recommend Niwas enough!

Excellent tour and comprehensive explanation on everything that is Varanasi. My husband & I would never have found the sites the excellent Niswas took us to or have understood what we were seeing. Anyone coming to Varanasi should take this tour through the city’s ancient winding streets and to the ghats.

Akash ran a great tour, it was a perfect first introduction to Varanasi. He took me to the burning ghats which was very harrowing, great to see and definitely wouldn’t have felt able to go alone. Very knowledgeable and spoke good English! He also helped me run through my itinerary for the rest of my stay and gave good food recommendations.

Akash was an extremely personable guide with great English (and Spanish skills). The tour involved more destinations and more information than I anticipated. I did this on my first day in Varanasi and it was a great introduction to the city. I really enjoyed it.

We really like our tour with Niwas, very informative and not too rushed. He really took time to explain everything to us and made sure we were comfortable at any time of the tour. This tour is a must if you visit Varanasi, you will learn many things that we could have never known otherwise!
