Our 2-day tour of Chengdu with Bella was the highlight our China trip. Her perfect English, deep cultural knowledge, and thoughtful service made the trip comfortable and memorable. The morning visit to the Panda Base was the absolute highlight. By arriving at opening, she secured the best spots to witness the heartwarming sight of a mother panda bonding with her cubs. We also saw other pandas including red pandas. On the boat cruise to see the Leshan Giant Buddha, Bella ensured we had the prime viewing position. From the lively Jinli Street to the serene Wenshu Monastery, Bella’s insights were invaluable. She shared her extensive knowledge of Buddhism, which was especially meaningful for the Buddhist member of our group. Bella consistently checked in with us, prioritized our safety and comfort, and handled logistics like our onward train journey with meticulous care - even confirming stops and boarding details. Bella’s passion for her profession is evident in everything she does. We have no doubt she has a very bright future and highly recommend her to anyone visiting Chengdu.

We were referred by my sister to try the China Travel tour. In the past we only joined the tour from US. So we decided to we join six days private tour to Chengdu and Jiuzhaigou in early November. The itinerary was good but I wish we can stay in Jiuzhaigou one more night so we can spend more times in the park.

We spend 3 nights in Chengdu and it was simply amazing! Our hotel was in downtown Chengdu and all the high end shopping was around us. Interestingly, prices were similar or higher vs USA and Europe. We spend time strolling parks, sipping tea, got our ears picked, enjoyed a local Opera, savoured the Hot Pot and of course the Pamdas. Late November/early December is a great time to visit, not too cold yet and no lines!!! Our guide Charles, was simply amazing! Perfect English, knowledgeable, friendly and a great foodie!! He introduced us to several dishes we would have never tried! We enjoyed spending time with him! He went above and beyond!!

Claire is knowledgeable and thoughtful. Always ensured that we got all amenities in the hotel and for each car ride each day.

A 1 day trip to Chengdu. Our tour guide Charles was excellent. He showed us the beautiful City of Chengdu. Our first stop was the Panda Research Center. It was a lot of fun seeing so many Giant Panda’s, some sleeping perched high in the trees, others eating and being playful. Next, we had an authentic Sichuan lunch, Charles ordered for us, everything was delicious, especially the beef, pork and vegetable dishes. Our next stop was Kuanzhai Alley, a lively area. We strolled the alleyway and enjoyed the shops, and beautiful ancient architectural scenery. Charles was an excellent tour guide he explained all the sights, he’s very knowledgeable and most of all very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend his tour.

We visited Chengdu with a five-star guide named Claire: she took us to visit: 1. The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding - an enterprise that took the giant pandas off the list of endangerous species; 2. The Sanxingdui Museum, dedicated to this unique culture and the massive archeological Bronze Age finds; 3. The Wild Alley, an ancient street restoring old architecture in Ming and Qing styles; 4. The Sishuan Opera; 5. The Giant Buda, in Leshang; 6. The Wangjing Tower Park - Memorial to Xue Tao. She was professional and kind and helped us to get the most from our experience in Chengdu. She knows a lot and shared with us her knowledge. We get to know her throug Travel Guide Tour

We did this day trip through an organised 10 day tour of China. Julie and our driver were punctual and polite. Julie was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a fabulous time with the Pandas and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the day visiting the historical sites. Julie gave us a small gift of a fan which we decorated with calligraphy and pictures whilst we had traditional tea in peoples park. A really lovely day Julie thank you.

The Chengdu Research Base had lots of pandas to see if you’re interested. The Jinsha Site Museum was about how the tribe lived during the 1100 BCE - 800 BCE. The tour guide, Ms. Claire was knowledgeable. If I remembered correctly, the driver was Mr. Lui. The car was clean. I suggest to take a 3-4 days private tour to explore Chengdu.

Chengdu was really fun to visit. Of course, seeing the pandas was the highlight but Chengdu had a lot more to offer. The Jinsha Site museum was beautiful and the People's park was fun! Our guide, Julie was lovely and helped us spot pandas and take photos. She also took us to a brilliant coffee place and helped us with organising lunch. She had a lovely sense of humour and was a delightful guide.

We visited Chengdu and Jiuzhaigou in late October via a private tour arranged by TravelChinaGuide. Other than enjoying the beautiful scenery and local cultures, we had a fantastic experience with our local guide, Charles. He was attentive to our needs, knowledgeable as well as funny. He even recommended many delicious local dishes for our enjoyment (we are foodies). We will ask Charles to be our guide again on our next visit to the region.
