We’ve had a very pleasant experience in this trip along with other tourists together in a group. Mustafa and Aziz were very good who helped us in many ways to make our journey comfortable. Please keep warm clothes, extra socks and suitable shoes to wear in desert.

Fabulous to go to The Sahara and experience sunrise and sunset however the trip didn’t quite live up to the ‘luxury’ billing. The minibus may have had some air conditioning but we still sweltered in the heat and it was only May. It certainly wasn’t ’off the beaten track’ as we appeared to be in a convoy of multiple mini buses all stopping at the same coffee stops and restaurants with inevitable queues. Day 2 we left the hotel at 7:30am and the first opportunity for anything to eat or drink was 7 hours later, needless to say everyone was a bit hangry!! And we all thought the 3 hours spent walking round some gardens was time wasted when we could have been making good progress towards the Sahara. Perhaps the biggest disappointment was being told there was wine and beer when we got to the camp only to find my dream of watching the sun set over the Sahara with a cold beer in hand was only a dream and never a reality!

Going to Sahara desert was well worth it however, this tour operator poked me in the eyes more than a few times. First of all there was no “luxury” in the tour. It was same for all who paid for normal one and those who forked up extra dollars to book “luxury” version of the tour. Driver started hour and a half late and skipped 2 stops mentioned the tour description. He was so rude that he told me to “listen more carefully next time” when I asked him a question. In kasbah stop, they charged fees while listing says that is included the pricing. Driver stopped for lunch at 3:45 pm in a place that had us sit there and wait for about an hour. Then all decided to just leave without eating. Everyone got their chips bags out as a substitute lunch. Driver would just disappear for additional 15-20 minutes in each stop. I guess it was his way to force everyone to spend additional money in those shops. Sahara desert was amazing. We got plenty of time there. Dinner was good. New year celebration was great as all fellow travelers danced their way into new year. I took to transport to fes from there which was event free and driver was great. We were lucky to get the tent right away but not everyone was so lucky. Some fellow tourists kept waiting until 9:00 pm to get into the tent as they overbooked. One last told me that she got the tent at 3:00 am in the morning. Overall, I was happy they I went to desert but I wish tour operator didn’t mess up every step of the way.

Interesting trip, but be prepared for around 30 hours travel time (800 miles) over the 3 days. Stops are made every 90-120mins and a good break for lunch. Most of the time the scenery was interesting, but when travelling in the late afternoon/evening it will get tedious. Day 1 & 2 has a 90 minute visit to an impressive old town and gorge. The one disappointment was in the Sahara. The desert was fabulous but the tent allocation was chaotic and slow. We were put in an annex camp quite a distance from the main luxury camp about 5 mins away by 4x4 which had less facilities and the tents were quite spartan - no furniture, just a bed. We were due to be picked up by 4x4 in the morning but were forgotten so had to make our own way back to the main camp - quite a stressful and disappointing experience. Our driver was excellent, pick up and return also worked very well.

The tour was great but the trip to the dessert from marakesh was a bit uncomfortable as we were put in a van that seats 18 people but was the last group to be placed in the van which means we had to just seat on any seats that is empty meaning all 5 of us are seperated and had to seat besides strangers. Further, the air conditioner in the van was not cold i ended up sweating in the van most of the time. Other than that, the tour to places besides the dessert was rush which leads to us not being able to appreciate the place we visited

Our guide was Abdesalam and driver was Abdesalam and he was very knowledgeable and kind. The tour was amazing and I would recommend to everyone. Definitely upgrade to the “luxury” option for the desert camp because it’s 100% worth it. All the stops along the way were also amazing, it was a dream. The drive back from the desert is a little long so make sure you brace yourself for it.

This experience gave everything they said it would, however was a disaster getting there and going back. The accommodation the first night was in a hotel with no AC, like mentioned to be, and my toilet didn’t even flush. The amount of stops we took were ridiculous, and the driving right out of Marrakech is difficult on the stomach. A lot of the trip itself was spent in a car so beware of that. The heat itself was awful, and paying this amount of money compared to other tours was absurd.

This experience is a lot of driving-- which is unavoidable. however, the van had no AC and was very cramped. the biggest issue for me was that we stopped at tourist traps the entire way. Lunch was not included and we had no choice of the restaurant we stopped at so we were massively overcharged. Along the way, we also stopped at a women's rug co-operative that was definitely a scam. They say you don't have to buy anything, then push you to get it anyway for insanely high prices. We had so many different items pushed on us--- like scarves and a tour guide that charged us for a tour we weren't even given a chance to opt out of. this trip ended being way more expensive than I thought because of all the places that we stopped at. If you can, I recommend doing the drive yourself and then getting a different tour for just the desert. The Sahara was absolutely incredible, as were the Atlas Mountains.

Awesome trip. The driver explained every city and area in detail and I learned a lot about Moroccan culture and history. The tour is very scenic and all excursions are well organized with the guide already waiting for us. Luxury tent is nice with your own shower and toilet and good quality dinner. We had a hotel without a pool in the dades valley but could plunge in the river across the hotel.
