Our guide spoke fantastic English, very knowledgeable and made each venue we visited more rewarding than if we experienced on our own. Thank you!

Excellent tour with Michi! He was so informative and taught us many things about Japanese history, culture, and the people. He was fluent in English and easy to understand. We did the Kinkaakuji/Ryoanji/Arashiyama itinerary. The first stop was my favorite. Michi took very good care of me and my two teenage children. I highly recommend this tour and this tour guide in particular.

Noriko was a great guide. She had good knowledge of the sights she guided us to and was able to answer our questions as we went. She has good English skills even though we had to speak clarification because of her accent. We covered a lot of ground in Kyoto with Norika and although we were all reasonable fit 70 year old we did struggle to keep up with her at times. The main thing is we did not lose her. Overall Norika was good to be with.

Our guide was on time, knowledgeable, and we experienced way more at each venue because of what he shared. His English is perfect. Thanks

Family of four adults: we had a great day with Noriko, she's a awesome guide. She took us to more well known tourist destinations within Kyoto (as requested by us), but also brought us to less visited temples and was fluent in the history of these places. Communication in English was good, and Noriko was very kind and patient. I recommend highly this tour, and the great guide.

Our guide Kazuo provided us with a great customized tour of Kyoto. We were able to see the bamboo forest, Kinkakuji Temple, Gion District & Fushimi Inari Shrine. He was very informative & even brought us to a great Tempura restaurant for lunch.

We have a great tour of Kyoto under the care of our guide Naoki. He was knowledgeable and set a good pace for covering the sites we visited - Kiyomizu-dera, Sanjusangendo, Fushimi Inari and Nijo Castle. He also took us to a great sushi place for lunch. He allowed us time to do some shopping and was patient and accommodating. We highly recommend this tour.

My husband and I had a fabulous day with Shu. He was very gracious and informative and designed our day around our requests. I would highly recommend him to anyone coming to Kyoto.

Using Japan Guide Agency was well worth it to find a personal guided tour of Kyoto. We are a couple in our early 70s that were anxious to city, but did not want to figure it out on our own, or join a group tour where you can never hear what’s being described as the guide always seems to be on the other side of the group! We were paired with Shuji as our guide for a 6 hour tour at the beginning of our 4 day stay in Kyoto. It was a huge success as we were able to move from site to site easily, and quickly so had a lot done in the timeframe, Fushimi Inari, Kyomizu Temple, Nishiki Market and Nijyo-jyo castle. Whew, that was a lot, but it was combined with a lot of information on culture, religion, and history, as much or as little as we wanted. He was more than eager to answer any an all questions that we might have. Shuji is exceptionally proud of what he does in introducing the visitor to any of the locations he has tours. I also want to add that I was exceptionally pleased with the pre-trip exchanges with Shuji so we could tune what he could offer as options, and adjust as we saw fit. So we ended up a fully tailored experience. Arigatou Gozaimasu!
