Kyoto's Iconic 5: Unforgettable 7-Hr Bike Tour Adventure

An excellent way to learn about Kyoto and get a bit of exercise! Learned so much. Lots of hidden spots, in addition to the must do tourist spots.

We had the best day with Peter and Kyoto Bike Tours! The e-bikes were a great option for us. The tour covers some incredible highlights of Kyoto - bamboo forest, cycling along the river, several temples and shrines, the geisha district, a lovely lunch, and meandering through beautiful Kyoto neighborhoods. I have such a better appreciation for Kyoto as a city after the tour and we learned so much history and context. This is a must do!

Our Best of Kyoto Bike Tour with Rob was the highlight of our two week vacation in Japan! Rob was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and full of interesting stories about Japan’s unique history and fascinating culture. We learned so much and felt safe navigating the busy streets of Kyoto by bike having Rob as our leader. We highly recommend this tour!

It was a very nice whole day tour (8 1/2 houres). Cass was a great guide, he showed us beautiful places and told a lot about them. He also gave great tips for other activities. It was a fantastic day.

I highly recommend this bike tour if you have limited time in Kyoto, as I did. Our guide, Rob, amazed me with his extensive knowledge and deep understanding of Japanese history and culture, it felt like learning from a professor. Riding through the streets of Kyoto was a real highlight, and the tour also took us out to the countryside, where the breathtaking views are something you wouldn’t discover on your own. A truly memorable experience!

Exploring Kyoto by bike with Rob was absolutely the best way to experience the city. We covered so many landmarks and charming backstreets while still feeling relaxed and safe. Rob’s knowledge and passion for Japanese culture made every stop come alive, and his photography skills were incredible. He captured stunning shots so we never had to touch our phones. This tour was easily our favorite day in Japan and a memory we’ll always cherish.

Rob was an exceptional guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly informative not only about everything we saw during the tour but also about Japanese culture in general. For an active couple (and adult child) this was a must do way to see Kyoto, the biking covered some distance but was rewarding, and Rob’s support and encouragement made the journey enjoyable. For those who prefer a more relaxed pace, an e-bike would be a great option. Overall, Rob made the experience memorable and insightful. Highly recommended!
