Exclusive: Unforgettable Private Australian Battlefields Tour

Our guide was amazing and full of knowledge. Sadly I cannot say the same for Viator as a change of hotel for us to Mercure was acknowledged to us by them but not told to our guide. As a result she was left waiting outside the wrong hotel for 45 minutes before I called her.

It was a very indepth look at the WW1 battlefields. I got to visit one of my two Great Great Uncles who were born in Western Australia and went to fight in France but never made it back home.

Barbra was an exemplary guide who knew the area and the WW1 battles fought there intimately. She clearly explained what where each battalion was at key times in all the engagements covered, and highlighted with pertinent anecdotes. We highly recommend her to all, but to Australians, Kiwis and Canadians in particular.

What a fantastic private tour of Villers-Bretonneux, Pozières and the Somme Valley, with a focus on Australian events and history. We were picked up directly at our hotel by our guide Brigette (who is local to the area and a wealth of information). We stopped in various locations around the area and were given great explanations of the events that took place on those very spots. The Sir John Monash centre was a highlight. Brigitte will tailor your trip to suit your needs. Ie if you are British she will focus on British events and memorials. Well paced tour and well worth the full day. Highly recommended.
