Breathtaking Pamukkale: Kusadasi Day Trip w/ Lunch & Transfer

UG was an amazing tour guide. He was informative and knew the history of Turkey. Amazing day that also included a yummy lunch. Our original lunch spot wasn’t available and UG was able to immediately find another location. We never felt rushed or bored. Every stop included historical information and showed how proud the Turkish are of their country. We wish we can take UG home with us!

Ugur was fantastic and a wealth of information! The tour was fun with a lesson of Turkish history! Spending time in the travertines was a joy. We had a fantastic time! It's a beautiful place. Highly recommend!

The drive to Pamukkale is about 2.5hrs from Kusadasi. We had a break about an hour in and then went onto the destination. Mehmet gave us lots of background in the bus so we could enjoy some free time at Pamukkale and Heirapolis. He was very patient and helpful! We took a shuttle bus from the entry at the top of the hill to the main site-Heirapolis is very spread out so definitely get a gold cart or the shuttle. I'm glad Mehmet advised us not to walk! Pamukkale itself is very spectacular- the pools get very busy so we needed to walk some way, about 4 pools down to get some space to take uninterrupted photos and swim. Cleopatra's pool was closed for renovations which was a bit disappointing but cannot be helped. Heirapolis was interesting, the main sites are proximal to one another though so you can see most within 45mins - 1 hour. The theatre was impressive. All in all great tour of a fascinating destination!

We are very happy with Tour Altinkum for arranging the best guide in this region. Isik was very up to date and succinct with the information she provided. I liked her sense of humour too. I had an incident where I left my bag and realised 20 mins from the journey. She immediately maded arrangements and I was able to retrieve it with their assistance and coordination with the tour company.

Isik was great - very informative and nice. Driver was also very nice. You don’t really need a bathing suit this time of year bc the water is pretty cold. Worth putting feet in though
