Beyond the Great Wall: Private 2-Day Datong Expedition

Nancy was extremely patient and knowledge guide. At every single place my parents and I went to in Dating Nancy would patiently wait as we took thousands of photos and spent hours in the shops. Can't forget to comment about the amazing restaurant she took us on the way to the hanging temple. No other words, amazing tour!!

My wife and I did 2 days with Nancy X and were totally blown away by how in tune Nancy was with what we wanted to do in this trip ! We were treated to so many local treats from sights to sounds and tastes, She was great company and speaks very good english helping us understand what were the stories behind many of Datong's iconic sites ! Yungang Grottoes, Great Wall, Hanging Monastery and Wooden Pagoda. Nancy went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed Datong and soaked up the atmosphere ! Very very happy 5 stars !

My boyfriend and I took a 2 day private tour with Nancy. All I can say is WOW!! Money well spent! What an experience! Fist of all Nancy is amazing. Fluent English and we were driven in a luxury car for two days surrounding Datong’s amazing landscape. I cannot stress enough how incredible the sights are! You will see for four selves. Trip of a lifetime !!! Not only that she showed us historically incredible landscapes but she also gave us a personal take on how history and modern China come together. We got to visit a regular village and meet nice people that live off of the land. One of the reasons we love China is because of her. She is talented, loving, caring, and she will do everything possible to make your experience amazing. At the same time her spirit, curiosity and love of life are inspiring. If you have time book her food tour! Starting with traditional breakfast, then hot pot, traditional Datong noodles, yummmmm!!! And she knows the best coffee in town -that’s a great find! I hope that if you get to visit Datong you will take a tour with Nancy. You will not regret it!

My wife and I had the pleasure of touring with Star (Nancy's) partner for 2 days in Datong and the nearby areas. It was the most memorable experience of our week-long trip in China. Star was kind, patient, and very knowledgeable. Our driver was also really great. Nancy is prompt with her responses, adaptable with the schedule, and very professional. I would, without any reservations, recommend her tour company. Pricing is also very reasonable. For those of you still debating whether or not to visit Datong, I would highly recommend it. It still has a smaller town feel but with all the amenities of a larger city. Food is significantly cheaper, and the people are kind.
