Honestly I was pretty impressed by what I saw during this day tour and was left wanting more. I felt like the reviews do not really do justice - I felt that the tour was great, efficient use of time and we saw a lot of things. Yes, the travel to and from Punta Cana takes a lot of time, but I already expected that. You have to realize that you are traveling to a place almost 170 km away from Punta Cana so it is pretty natural that it will take you 4 hours to go and 4 hours to come back. The only reason I have rated this low is that I wish there was more time on this tour actually doing things and less time allocated for food or shopping. The tour should just indicate to us where we can eat cheaply, or eat traditional food, and where we can shop and give that time away as free time. I personally would have spent much less time eating or shopping and more time exploring the old city on my own.

This was mainly Spanish rather than English tour. Lots of walking and no free time taken to some nice places. The place we visited for lunch was not very nice, broken chair and mens toilet didn't flush. but the food was okay. Was taken to a couple of local gift shops. Would have been nice to have had a little free time to explore. Wouldn't recommend this for anyone who have any walking issues.

Mostly in zspanish. Very very little in English. Lots of walking in the hot Sun. Maybe two miles. Two plus hour ride one way to Santo Domingo . It was not 9 hours it was 12 hours long

This trip was fun overall. It involved a lot of walking, so be prepared to bring yourself a multiple bottles of water, a hand towel, a few snacks to eat and an umbrella for sure. It will be very sunny outside if you are coming in summer. Without an umbrella, it will be very hot and unbearable. This tour does not give you a lot of time to click pictures though, as we are constantly on the move. However, our guide was very friendly too and waited with a lot of patience while we clicked pictures. Overall it was an easy 4 stars. The reason I took off 1 star was because the van we travelled in was kind of dusty and was very conjusted too. Overall it was a fun trip, given this was the cheapest I could find as compared with popular websites like get your guide, Booking.com, Expedia and so on.

Some great informations and really cool to see all the older places in Santo Domingo. The tour guide was great, but he had to do the tour in Spanish, English and French. The worst part of the day was getting picked up by a taxi van, then put in a bus at another hotel, then being put in a different van at a nearby gas station. All without one welcome or information about what was happening, when we could use the bathroom and no one around that spoke English. 3.5 hours into the tour was the first time we got a welcome and were then sure we were on the right tour - otherwise and aside from the chaos it was great. Hot in the summer but great. I would recommend

A simply phenomenal experience this was by far the best excursion I since I’ve been coming to DR for the last 13 years. Be prepared to walk. But once you get past that, it is historical it is architectural. It is everything you want to be and it’s well worth the price. The guides are phenomenal. We had Anthony and his son excellent.

This tour was quite nice and refreshing. Lots of photo ops and culture. Learning about the people of DR. Our tour guides Manuel and Wilemka were exceptional. They came to get us at our Airbnb in the rain. The food quality needs improvement for lunch.

Such a great time on this trip. I was excited to see so many places definitely got my steps in. The staff and tour guide were very accommodating especially because I have a knee injury they made sure I was comfortable, and only went based on my limits.
