Breathtaking Florida Keys Reef Snorkel: Half-Day Journey

We had an amazing time and got to see so much marine life. The trip was a very good price. The staff was entertaining and knowledgeable. Definitely a must do!

These folks were amazing. Weather made it tough to go to the reef, but there did offer another option at the mangroves which being from Nebraska and it being my last opportunity to go before leaving for home I was grateful that they offered someone else so I could at least experience it. Thank you so much.

Awesome crew. Everybody had fun, everybody learned something new and we got enough time explore the coral barrel. This is the right people and the best activity for everyone!

The captain Joe was awesome: - attentive - knowledge beyond a usual local guide - friendly but not into your face - passionate about conservation and local eco systems The trip was exceptional: - clear water mangroves snorkeling in 5-8 feet (1.5-2.5 meters) of water - two stops about an hour each - small fishes, barracuda, baby coral fishes, bigger fishes hunting smaller fishes - bird islands with frigatebirds - an occasional manatee - a couple of stingrays - sea stars - small group, intimate experience

Great captain and crew but very choppy water with huge swells breaking over our heads when in the water. A lady got so seriously nauseous that we had to go back. The captain had called ahead, so an ambulance and the fire department with about 6 hot firefighters were waiting for us at the port when we pulled in. Lucky lady! Despite the swells, very fun!

I had an amazing time on the half-day snorkeling tour with Pirates Cove Watersports. It was my first time snorkeling, and the crew made it such a fun and easy experience. Captain Katie was excellent, very organized and professional. She kept everything running smoothly and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. Scuba Joe was the heart of the fun. Goofy, upbeat, and full of energy the entire trip. He kept everyone laughing, helped calm any nerves, and made the day feel like an adventure with friends. His enthusiasm was contagious and really made the experience unforgettable. The reef was beautiful, the water was clear, and the overall vibe was perfect. You can tell both Katie and Joe truly love what they do. Highly recommend Pirates Cove Watersports, especially if you have Captain Katie and Scuba Joe running your trip.

I rated this trip a 5 - although we did not go on the tour. We were very impressed that the tour operator let us know at check in the conditions of the water and wind were extremely rough. They made recommendations and explained what we would feel with 3 foot waves & wind. We ultimately decided to cancel the trip and they gave us a full refund. Safety First! I appreciate their honesty despite losing our money that day.

Lovely people. Professional and knowledgeable which matters when weather isn’t always cooperative. They made it work and made us feel like rockstars on our extreme snorkel experience. Always felt safe under the captain’s watch.

Brad and Joe were a lot of fun and did a thorough job explaining everything and answering our questions. We loved the experience. ..and I'd like to leave another note for Joe's dad. You must have been a wonderful father to have raised such a great son!
