Unforgettable Pilanesberg: Ultimate Big 5 Safari Day Tour

Saw 4 of the big 5 despite the pretty average weather. Petros was a great guide with a great sense of humour. Well worth the trip

My visit to Johannesburg was short which made this trip so convenient and the highlight of my trip. So worth it, especially at the last minute. Petras was our driver and had a good eye for spotting the animals for us.

Amazing day safari to Pilansberg NP. Our driver was Pitrus and was very knowledgeable and fun. We were very lucky to see so many animals up close. Loved the open aired safari vehicle which was very comfortable.

I did this one-day safari to Pilanesberg with MoAfrica Tours and really enjoyed it. Everything was well organised from start to finish. As a solo traveller, I felt completely comfortable and well looked after. Pick-up was on time from my hotel and I got back around 6 p.m. Lunch was nicely arranged, and the tour guide was excellent — friendly, knowledgeable, and made the day fun. Sonny was our driver to Pilanesberg, he was great. It was a very hot day, so most of the animals were resting in the shade. I’d definitely be keen to do an overnight tour next time, as it would be great to experience both a morning and evening safari when the animals are more active. A fantastic experience overall and one I’d definitely recommend to anyone visiting Johannesburg!

Amazing experience! From the pick at the hotel by the very nice driver to the incredible safari, we were safe and well looked after by the MoAfrika team. Dorine our safari guide was very nice and knowledgeable, she took us to the best spots and we saw so many beautiful animals during the one day safari. I loved it! And can’t wait to do it again!

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Spotted some really cool animals and birds from real close. Guide Moloko did a great job driving is through the safari and explaining things. Lunch was sumptuous with amazing views. Pickup and dropoff from J'burg was smooth and ride was comfortable. Couldn't spot at of the big cats but that really depends on the time of the day and your luck!
