Joburg & Soweto: Half-Day Transformative Urban Safari

Pastor was a great tourguide. He gave us an authentic insight of Joburg and Soweto. Besides the information on important sites, he gave us many information on daily life in Joburg

This tour is a must do, when visiting Johannesburg.  We done a private tour.  Our tour guide Thabiso was  very friendly with excellent communication and was very informative.   Thabiso took such pride in sharing the history, of the past and presents of Johannesburg.  The local residents of Soweto are friendly and very welcoming to tourists.  There is a lot of history in Soweto, which is why it's an important place to visit.  Also enjoyed the lively street performers.  We left this tour with a greater knowledge of Johannesburg, thanks to Thabsio.

The tour is a way to experience the highlights of Johannesburg and Soweto in one day. There was plenty of time for everything. The walking tour of Soweto was particularly interesting.

Johannesburg is steeped in riag history and culture. It was wonderful to experience it with our tour guide Thabiso who was born and raised in Soweto. He is a genuinely nice person, well informed and very accommodating. We had an amazing day with Thabiso and learned so much about Johannesburg from his very informed perspective.

We had a lovely afternoon tour, which was great to fit in to our limited schedule of passing through Johannesburg for a day, and certainly gave us a good rounded experience of the city and varied history. We had Thibiso as our guide for the afternoon and he was great, knowledgeable and friendly. (I hope the name spelling is ok) The included admission to Nelson Mandela's house was a good visit and interesting. The local food from a nearby restaurant was tasty too.

Our guide, Thabiso, was excellent. Visited old downtown and new downtown, high court and constitution hill, World Cup soccer stadium and we requested Soweto in depth. He shared gold mining, culture, and Nelson Mandela history. It was totally amazing.

This was an incredible experience, Thabiso was so informative and knowledgeable and very patient with us and our 100’s questions. I would highly recommend this tour as a must do if you are ever in Johannesburg and if your lucky you will get Thabiso as your guide.

Our guide Limdela was excellent. We learned so much about history and Mandela. He also explained about the apartheid and how the different people lived and survived. The shooting of the students was tragic.
