Puerto Plata: Breathtaking City Views & Cable Car Adventure!

The city tour was great. To many places to visit. Fabio, the tour guide was great. He bring water and snacks to us. Definitely worth the trip. 100% recommend.

Very enjoyable trip and did a lot in those few hours. Enthusiastic guide and driver. Even gave us ice cold water on a super hot day.

This was a girls trip! Our driver was wonderful. Took us to great spots . Treated us like family. He had water, chips , mangos etc.

The city tour was well worth the money. We got to see several stops in the city and our tour guide Fabio was great. I’d definitely visit again.

Had booked this excursion on my solo trip. Was picked up by Victor and was taken to a meeting point where Fabio was waiting for me. Both victor and Fabio were very nice and accommodating. Fabio had cold water, fruit and snacks for us. Excursion was nice. We went to shops, the pink street, the church, and to the mountain by safari bus. Some people in the group were tired and hot and wanted to go to their hotel so the rest of us agreed to go to a restaurant and get food while Fabio brought them back. Fabio later came back for us. He was amazing. Always made sure we were good and safe. I had an amazing experience.

This was excellent, affordable, and a great value. This excursion allowed us to see a bunch of touristy spots in a short period of time. It was nice having a personal guide, Fabio, who was full of information and knowledge about the city, country, and more! He was able to safely maneuver us through town and still allow us time to explore major attraction areas. Our trip to Mount Isabel was hindered by clouds and a light shower, but we were still able to see the statue and enjoy the nature trail. Be aware that the trip to Mount Isabel will take 35-40 minutes by truck, whereas the cable car is 10 minutes. It seemed a little sketchy at points on the truck, but that is not related to this package but the Dept. of Tourism. Your guide will be taking you around in an air conditioned, comfortable van. I think this is a perfect choice if you are planning to see the city with a personal guide as opposed to a huge group (we saw many of those near the port).

Fabio did a great job navigating the town and answering our questions. He knows a lot about the flora and the history of the DR. This is great way to see the highlights of Puerto Playa from pick up at the cruise pier to the top of Mt. Isabella to see the Christ statue.

Fabio did an excellent job showing us the island. Super personable and informative. Definitely one of the best tour guides I’ve had.

Fabio was fabulous! We had a much longer tour than anticipated with a few extra stops, and the man never blinked. We learned quite a bit about the rain forest, the gemstone industry, the coffee-harvesting process, and the cocoa cultivation practices that make Puerto Plata a great place!
