I love animals and was very happy seeing the deer of Nara. It was beautiful to see the stone lanterns and shrine, the ancient trees, the temple, and the deer together were memories for a lifetime. But I wasn't expecting that the highlight for me would be to see the great Buddha. It's impossible to convey the scale and impressiveness of the buildings, the statues, and the grounds. Our tour guide Keicy was extremely helpful and kind. His knowledge and humour made today more than just a good experience, but a lifetime memory to cherish.

KC was awesome tour guide! Took great care to make sure everyone was okay! We learned a lot! The deers were super cute, and the temple was stunning!

We had a great time. My wife and I visited Kyoto for our honeymoon, and we did the morning tour of Kyoto and afternoon tour of Nara. Our tour guide Yuki spoke great English and had a lot of knowledge of both Kyoto and Nara. The bus travel made it very convenient to get to Nara and other parts of Kyoto as well. The tour usually started with more guidance and ended with free wandering so it gives a little bit to different kinds of travelers. My wife loved the deer and the Golden pavilion especially!

This tour was well organized and moved in a good pace. The guide Yuki was very informative and knowledgable. The bus was very comfortable. We really enjoyed this tour and would definitely recommend it. .

Very well organized and scheduled with punctuality. Tour guide, Casey, had ample knowledge of the places visited. He took very good care of all participants and made the visit a wonderful experience.

Excellent guide and excellent tour! The tour guide was K.C. who was informative and personable. He is fluent in English and also able to deal with the Japanese staff in Japanese.

Casey was great! He was very knowledgable about everything we saw. The deer are a bit scary but if you search enough you can find some calm ones. The buddha was the best part of the tour

This was a really good afternoon tour. We visited three places in Nara and all three were beautiful and must-sees. I don't think my experience in Kyoto would have been complete without this tour! Also, huge shout-out to the tour guide, KC, who was friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and professional.

It was so fun! KC provided us with so much information. He’s so knowledgeable, fun, and full of energy. Made it a great time! Highly recommend. A must!

- The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations.
- Participants will walk from the parking lot to Todai-ji Temple (about 15 min one-way).
- Please inform us at the time of booking if any person in your group is using crutches or a wheelchair, or has a chronic illness that makes it difficult to walk for long distances.
- Until Dec. 2024, the tour will visit Kasuga Taisha Shrine but will not enter areas requiring admission. From Jan. 2025, the tour will also enter the Main Sanctuary special visit area. However, in case the special visit area cannot be entered due to events or operational circumstances, the Kasuga Taisha Museum or Manyo Botanical Garden will be visited instead.
- Refunds will not be issued in case the tour visits aforementioned alternative destinations.
- Seats may not be designated.
- Children up to 5 years old may join free of charge, but will not be provided with bus seats. If bus seats are required, please make a booking under the child rate.
- Parental permission in writing is necessary for all tour participants under the age of eighteen. Any participant under the age of fifteen or not yet enrolled in middle school must be joined by a parent or guardian on the tour.
