Chetan walked us through Dharavi’s businesses, houses, and markets. He was a wonderful guide and helped us understand how people live and thrive in Dharavi. It was a very intense and wholesome experience, a must do if you really want to understand the culture of this place. We recommend 100%, and we are very happy we contributed a little bit through Reality Tours and Travel.

Highly recommend this tour. Provides insights into the strengths and capacities of the Dharavi slums. My guide, Sabina, a member of the community, was an amazing teacher and guide. Sabina introduced me to for thriving industries in the slums: recycling, clothing, leather goods, and pottery. She also showed me the friendships, creativity, and rich history of Dharavi. 80% of the proceeds from the tour go back to the community. And I very much appreciate that photos are not allowed, respecting the privacy of the residents. (Sabina was an amazing guide, a real boss lady 😉).

This tour was excellent-Sabina our guide was fantastic-explained everything to perfection and answered all our questions on this unique experience. What we saw will stay with me forever-it was a truly amazing insight on how people are able to live and indeed thrive in such circumstances…please go and visit and support this tour company that in turn supports the Dharavi community.
