This is a really great introduction to the culture and history of Casablanca. The guide is great as were all the people we met. I particularly enjoyed the walking component. The driving was necessary to cover distance between points of interest. I’ve got a better understanding of things I can do now in the rest of my stay. I’ll be going back for more of that lovely tea!

Great tour, I feel like we got to see a good number of neighborhoods around town and a lot of context for everything we see around the city

Mohamed was very knowledgeable and kind, highly recommend. There’s a small amount of walking, but nothing difficult.

An excellent tour of some of the key sites in the city. Local knowledge meant we started early in the Mosque because a large cruise ship was expected later. Due to our guides contacts were the first people into the mosque when it opened. It was a great experience to be the only ones in a building that can hold 25,000 people! We visited the old and new medinas and stopped for pastries in a bakery and mint tea in a cafe. We enjoyed visiting a synagogue and church close to the mosque as well as the museum dedicated to Moroccan Jewish history. We learned a great deal about the city, its history and people and would recommend the guide to future visitors.

We had a great time! Mohammad (guide) and Zacariae (driver) were prompt, friendly and informative. Mohammad was clearly passionate about the history of Casablanca and focused on the cultural significance of the sights especially reinforcing the peaceful coexistence of people within the Medina for many prior years. Learned a lot about the history of the port and the ruling family.

Our guide for the morning was Mohammed, a middle aged man who was friendly, knowledgeable and has excellent English. We wandered through the Old Medina where we were introduced to the history of Casablanca and Morocco. We passed interesting doors to photograph, cats galore, people going about their normal weekday business, football graffiti and heard interesting stories. We walked through the old Souk which didn’t seem as daunting as I imagined it would be. People were doing their everyday shopping and we weren’t hassled at all. There were wonderful displays of spices, olives, dates and nuts in both this souk and the new souk in the Harbous neighbourhood. We walked through an enchanting outdoor bakery which smelled delicious from the spices in the pies and the scent from the garden plants. We visited the Sacred Heart Cathedral, which is now a conference hall, but still has the beautiful building and stained glass. We were fortunate to be able to go inside for a quick look at an excellent Chinese Art exhibition which we returned to look closer at the following day. We visited a Riad which is a traditional home of a merchant class family where each generation can live in separate quarters, but sharing meals etc. We visited a bakery where we each selected some delicious pastries and biscuits to take to the cafe where we had morning coffee or mint tea. After our rest there we were driven along the Corniche to an area where we could take photos of Hassan 11 Mosque, which we visited another day with our Moroccan tour group. Later Mohammed drove us to the Hammam which we had booked for a bath, which was kind of him.

Mohammed was an excellent tour guide. My husband and I enjoyed this half day tour very much as were able to see so many different parts of Casablanca. 10/10 for value, information, places that we stopped. It was partially walking and partially being driven around. We saw many things that we would not have seen without a tour.
