Black Sand & Rainforest: Auckland's Wild Coast Escape

Great tour. The sights were breathtaking and we learned a bunch about the NZ people, history, and culture. Annie and Steve were very personable, and I’d highly recommend this tour company. It was also a huge benefit for the guides to pick us up and drop us off at the hotel.

If you want to just check the box that you saw these places, you'll like this tour. IMO, it was ok. No mention of stopping for lunch, so we ate before hand so this stop took time from the tour or we would've waited to eat. The rain forest walk was too long compared to the time we had at the beach which was only 20 minutes to tool around the black sand. The lady guide was talkative and informative, the driver/guide may have recently started, it seemed. Fine driving, though.

The room was small but quiet and neat, perfect for limited stays. Even better, it is in the central district, so you are close to all kinds of activities and shops.

Wonderful trip with excellent guide. Adventure lived up to all expectations and saw a great deal over an afternoon-amazing.

This is a great way to see the natural landscapes New Zealand has to offer. Perfect for people who don't want to drive out of Auckland and want a bit of insight from local tour guides. The beach is very lovely but don't think of it as a beach to hang out or sunbathe--it isn't a golden sand beach :) The rain forest isn't difficult to walk through. The paths are pretty well paved. At 4 we had afternoon tea. Thank you Chris and Murray for a great tour!

Bush and Beach provided this small group excursion to the west coast from central Auckland. Only a short walk from our cruise ship. It was a very well organised half day but packed with sites and stops to see the beauty of the area. The bus was comfortable and the driver and guide very informative. One of the best tours we have done here in NZ.

This was a very enjoyable tour, we went on this our first day in Auckland and it was the perfect intro! A mix of some gorgeous views and info about the region's history thanks to the guides. Would highly recommend to others who have an afternoon to spend, very much worth booking!
