Fun! Food was very midiocre. Please do not set expectations high with restroom facilities. Open bar was good, but realize alcohol was watered down. (Anything other than tequila). Guides were wonderful and accomodating. Try the banana boat, it is a blast.

We chose the 15 minute horse back ride through the streets and got to see inside the town. Our 2nd excursion was having a boogie board, was a fun way to enjoy the Pacific waves. The boat ride was enjoyable as well.

Very limited lounge chair seating. Activities only lasted about 10 minutes each. Overall facilities quite dirty and in need of repairs.

The staff were friendly and did their best to make sure everything went smoothly. The short horseback ride was through the back streets, not on the beach and somewhat dangerous for an inexperienced rider. There was a special menu for the tour only and was more like a snack than a meal size portion. The banana boat ride was very fun. The beach vendors were relentless in trying to make a sale.

I was hoping for a ride on the ocean, and not just a ferry across the port. The lunch was decent, but you need to be aware that they are trying to sell you food and drinks at the restaurant, even though that is included. Everybody expects to be tipped in addition to just your tour guides. It’s not a big deal, but just need to be aware. It was a fun day, and a beach is expensive and amazing.

Stone Island or Isla De La Pierda was a great excursion experience coming off a cruise. Mazatlan tour Van was very easy to contact and locate coming off the boat. They took us on a little tour around town before our catamaran was ready then we went to the island wich had really nice beaches, great food, fun activities and an open bar. Our tour guide was named Enrique who did a great job of informing us on everything and he stuck around the whole time till we were ready to leave. Really l loved this excursion experience and would definitely do it again.

Good food, good drinks, limited but nice shade. And, less expensive than the cruise ship excursion price.

Lots of waiting due to a couple of cruise ships in port. Very friendly guide/driver but upon reaching stone island, very few lounge chairs. Communication for activities was sparse. Drinks and food were good. Service was attentive.

Don’t expect a luxurious beach on this getaway. The boat ride was ok, somewhat informative, but literally takes you across from the cruise ship. Our wagon ride (several wagons pulled by a large tractor) made me feel like I was at a local fair back home. The ride through the streets of Mazatlán was interesting, we got a good idea of what life is like there. We were inundated by locals selling things on the beach, although they were all very kind. And I did end up buying some nice things. There were plastic resin chairs to rent and a limited number of umbrellas. We met a very nice man and his granddaughter who sat near us on the beach with their horses. He only charged $10 for a ride down the beach, and honestly this was the highlight of our day. We had a great conversation and he went out of his way to get nice pictures of us all (with our phones). He was very grateful when we paid him. I did go on the banana boat, lots of fun if you’ve never been on one, and the cold water didn’t actually end up bothering me. I was too busy worrying about holding on! It’s not the best beach for swimming, nothing like the Caribbean. I didn’t mind the food, but the others in my group weren’t happy with it. Overall, we ended up having a good time, but I really wish we had done a tour of the old town rather than this excursion, and saved the beach day for another island.
