Melbourne's Wild Wonders: Penguins, Koalas & Iconic Beach

Mark, our tour guide was informative on Australian history, culture and wildlife. The stops were of appropriate length to see what we wanted but to keep us moving to the next point of interest. He drove safely and smoothly without making anyone feel motion sickness as we had noted on other tours during our two and a half week stay in Australia. The penguin adventure was awesome and we had the Penguin+ tickets which greatly added to the positive experience. Thanks!

James our guide was very knowledgeable and attentive. He patiently answered our questions and even bought a boomerang and showed us how it’s being used! Didn’t see that many penguins as compared to 9 years ago ( I did penguin plus then). James gave us very good advice and suggestions on where best to sit and walk at the penguin parade so we knew what to expect. Overall it was a nice excursion as we saw a couple of wild Australian animals and beaches. meals at the various stops were good too. A separate mention : the WhatsApp assistance chat line is well manned by the staff- friendly and very responsive! Highly recommend!

Jono was a relaxed and informative guide. He gave great tips about locations etc and how to make the most out of the visit.

Bob, our driver, was a great guide and went out of his way to create a memorable experience: friendly, inclusive, knowledgeable, and just plain fun to spend the day with. He took our photos when asked with humor and kindness. I highly recommend this tour. Bring warm clothes for the evening. Ask for Bob and you will have a great day!

Love Aleks bright personality and she was really knowledgeable in teaching us about penguins and the history behind penguin island. Would definitely recommend to come hear if you are in for some wildlife

This is an amazing day tour. Naomi, our guide/driver, is very knowledgeable about the city, the animals, and anything else you want to know, as well as a great sense of humor. The Moonlit Sanctuary was great, but I was disappointed that I couldn’t do the koala encounter. We did see a lot of them, though. The kangaroos and wallabies love being fed, and are really very gentle and friendly. The Nobbies is interesting, as to get to see the actual volcanic rock that formed the country. You can also see a few penguins in their burrows, if you’re as lucky as I. But the highlight is definitely the penguin parade. I recommend upgrading to the Penguin Premium ticket. We saw more penguins than general admission, and it was well worth it! It is chilly, so dress in layers or a warm jacket. I highly recommend this tour (even though the bus didn’t have a lot of leg room.)
