Marrakech: Authentic Moroccan Dinner & Taste Adventure

We booked this tour for our first evening in Marrakech to give us a feel for both the centre of town and the food. It did not disappoint. Our guide , Mehdi , was friendly and knowledgeable, and our fellow group members were good company . We went to various different food outlets, including some local places we would never have visited otherwise. We were encouraged to try everything, which we did, and doing this tour then gave us valuable insight into the local food . I can recommend doing this tour at the start of your trip.

The food tour was a great experience. Mehdi was an excellent guide and brought us to get delicious food at places I would not have stopped at on my own.

The Makkla bel Kefta Chakchouka was a real highlight, the Harissa was so good!! The food was delicious, the tour was really well organised and ran smoothly. Mehdi was a lot of fun and very friendly, would highly recommend this tour. We did it on our first night in Marrakech and it was a great way to see and navigate some of the Souk lanes, see the bustling Jemaa el Fnaa and get an insight to a Saturday night in a fun city.

Every time we visit a new city or country we try to do a food tour on day one. It’s the best way to get to know a place, what the real food is like and the etiquette around ordering and eating/drinking. This one was very good in every respect. Our guide Mehdi was helpful, knowledgeable, engaging and easy to talk to. We visited some truly local places that would be very difficult to find otherwise and no couscous or tagine dishes (you get those everywhere). We went back to one tiny corner kitchen just off the main square for the same meal the day after. Very tasty and a fraction of the cost of the tourist places. Thoroughly enjoyable, great value and highly recommended.

A walk through the lively Medina, with eating stops along the way, ending with a delicious Tanjia (which we learned... is distinct to Marrakech).

Truly a 5 star experience. An amazing way to sample good local cuisine. We visited local food stalls/restaurants that you would never find and ate some truly amazing food. The guide was extremely informative and very friendly. An absolute MUST

This tour showcased a ton of food locations within the medina. It not only helped me to try local foods from locations I may not have previously thought to visit, but it also introduced me to the medina in a way that helped it to feel very approachable. Meddy was a great guide! If he's on your tour you will have a great experience.

This was an absolutely incredible experience and easily the best tour we had in Marrakesh. Mehdi was an exceptional guide—knowledgeable, calm and attentive—taking us to nine different local spots and tailoring everything to our tastes. I have allergies to cinnamon and nutmeg, which are common in many dishes, and he still managed to give me a full traditional food experience without a single issue. Best for attention to dietary needs. He was simply outstanding. We discovered dishes we would never have found on our own and even returned to several of the places in the following days because the food was so good. Excellent value for money and a perfect introduction to Marrakesh cuisine. Highly recommended.
