Absolutely great! I love volcanoes so was always going to be great. Nea Kamenei is the resurgent dome of the volcano that destroyed the island of Thira. You walk from the boat around a series of lava domes and scoria cones to the highest point on the island. From here you have fabulous views of the caldera and of the stratified layers in the cliffs. You can also see Nea's lava flows and visit the small fumerole field. The boat trip to and from port is also awesome. I highly recommend this trip. The guide was also really informative and enthusiastic.

It was awesome! November is definitely the best time to be on the caldera. Not hot, which is great! The trip was well organized and we had lots of fun!

Exactly as advertised. A great way to experience the natural beauty of Santorini’s volcano with a very engaging guide.

Great value! Good hike and views at the volcano, and the captain’s explanations were informative and entertaining. We were there mid-November, so the hot springs were not even warm, but refreshing swim and appreciated the noodle.

The boat was great. The crew was awesome. Three hour experience in this price point is definitely worth it. Boat has drinks and snacks for purchase. Only drawback is, there are always one or two people who are always late (20minutes!!) and the rest of the people on the boat has to suffer. We had another experience lined up after this one and because of the same two couples who were late, we were running behind. I understand the boat crew doesn’t want to leave them behind but sometimes it’s necessary.

This was a very well organised informative and fun 3 hour boat / hike and swim trip. 30e each is not expensive for what you get - but people on a budget need to factor in the cable car costs. We loved it. The boat was great and the staff were helpful and friendly. We read the 1 star reviews before we booked and they were by people who had not read or thought before they set off. Things like it being too hot (in Greece in summer, really?!) or wanting a discount because they didn't want the swim bit (as if that's a thing). It was a great way to see the beauty of the island from a different angle.

Hot springs were tepid rather than hot. Reasonably long swim off boat. Volcano hike requires a good level of fitness and not suitable for anyone with limited mobility.

Relatively short boat stages. Interesting tour to see and understand the geography/geology of Santorini and the surrounding little islands.

Even in the heaviest rain our tour guide had seen in the two years he’s been doing this, we had a wonderful time. The clouds made for a very pleasant hike to the top of the volcano. I can imagine on a hot day in July this would’ve been much more of a trudge. The swim to the hot springs, while a bit more exhilarating temperature-wise given it was October and raining, was still an adventure. Here’s hoping someone decides to clean up the falling down structure at the hot spring cove area. That would be the only thing I could say negative about this trip. There were even goats on the island staring down at us as we swam. A really unique way to spend time in Santorini. So glad we did it.

This was a great 3 hour boat excursion. Tour guide explained everything very well. I would recommend.
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- For the volcano tour, wear comfortable shoes, a sun hat, and bring water.
- Dark swimsuits are recommended to avoid sulfur stains.
- To avoid delays, arrive at the cable car or start walking 45 minutes before departure.
- A minibar is available on board for water and snacks.
- Bring sunscreen for sunny days or a light jacket if it’s windy.
- Swimming in the hot springs is not recommended for pregnant individuals or those with heart issues or serious medical conditions.
