We booked the northbound partial transit on the canal (around 5 hours). The whole thing was fabulous - we really enjoyed it. Luis was an excellent narrator (Spanish and English) during the trip and answered all questions asked of him. They gave us breakfast and lunch, which were good. We got off in Gamboa and got taken back to Flamenco Marina in a comfortable coach (40 minutes). The whole thing is very well organised : really professional. You are left marvelling at the skill and ingenuity of the people who built the canal and how perfectly it's run nowadays. I would really recommend this experience. One of the best things I've done.

The actual tour experience was fine but there were a couple of areas that need attention. The map/directions to the boarding point need to be more explicit and descriptive. Google Maps took us to a city ticket office that was 25 minutes away from the actual boarding point, and we almost didn'tmake it in time. We were not alone to have ended up at the wrong spot but found at least four others that were in the same boat (pun intended). Second, even though food was served on the boat, it wasn't anything great. My wife who is a vegetarian had little choice. When I requested the manager to put together alternative options from the available food, she preferred to be inflexible rather than be accommodating.

Bucket list experience. On time departure from the Fuerte Amador resort right at the pier. Comfortable A/C seating inside along with up top seats outside. Good breakfast with a great lunch. The crew was excellent and the canal history and workings were given in Spanish and English. Took about 6 hours total with transit through 3 locks and then 25 min bus ride back to the resort.

Great explanations along the way that helps understand not only what is the transit about but also facts of it.

The entire process is seamless and enjoyable - they've got this down! An excellent way to experience riding on the Panama Canal without going the entire distance. Food was plentiful, and the other travelers were friendly. Great staff. Highly recommended!

Excellent tour with perfect guide! A wonderful experience - very highly recommended. Early morning is a great time to view the Canal and get a feel For this magnificent industrial creation in a magical natural area.
