Sacred Ground: Private American D-Day Beaches Tour from Bayeux

Wonderful day learning more about the Battle of Normandy and D-Day. Our guide, Robin, was so knowledgeable and engaging.

Robin,our guide, was punctual and very personable. He is from the area and has extensive knowledge of DDay,the area and overall was fantastic! We highly recommend this tour and if you can book Robin...all the better!

Marine was an excellent guide and adopted well to our groups interest. She was also very knowledgable on the topic even with those in our group who are already well versed in the landing and military operations in general. We hit all the major highlights of the American landings and we all felt there was adequate time to explore at each stop without rushing.

Charles was a phenomenal guide. Extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the war and region as well as friendly, thoughtful and flexible.

It was a great day in Normandy even while being buffeted by heavy winds - our guide was truly knowledgeable and a delight to be with - she had a true feeling for the moment.

We had the most lovely day with Marine. She was so knowledgeable and friendly and very accommodating. My mother has mobility issues so Marine was able to adapt and make the trip work for her. We covered a lot of ground and learned so much about WW2 and Normandy. It was a perfect day and we were sad it was over. Car was very comfortable and the full day tour is necessary to see all the highlights. For anyone who loves Texas A & M...you will learn a lot about Earl Rudder (future university president) and his brave rangers who scaled the cliffs at Point du Hoc. Rudder Tower, in the heart of the university campus, is 110" tall....the exact height of the cliffs the Rangers scaled on D Day!

Charlie was an excellent guide. His explanations of complex information were succinct and complete and well narrated. He had everything timed out perfectly and the tour of Coleville was especially moving. All of the sites visited provided historical significance and Charlie was able to integrate history and story with authority and effect.

Marine Cotet, our private tour guide was exceptional. I was so pleased with my 2018, Bayeux small group tour I booked a private tour in 2025 now that I was traveling with a son of a Ranger who landed and was shot at Omaha. With minimal information of the Ranger who landed that I provided, Marine and her colleagues researched and located where my friends father landed. I cannot thank Marine enough for an exceptional tour. Additionally, she returned our camera to our hotel, after we accidently left it in the car. If I ever return to Normandy, I'll definitely book Marin and Bayeux shuttle. It was and is the best!

Fred, our tour guide, spoke excellent English and gave us lots of fascinating details and anecdotes about the area. He clearly loves his job and is a devoted student of history , which made our day very special.

Naomie was pleasant, and very informative. She knew the history well and took us to various sites. I highly recommend her!
